This is what I had read. So how long will he be with Real Madrid? What does "all the way through" mean? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sp...outing-report-mock-/6foolpzenfn5132824voropvc
It's looking more and more like this summer is going to be way too busy for me to get down there. I really want to get to one of these sometime.
It's usually the team's decision. They might feel he could do more working out with a coach or something like that instead. It also takes time away from other guys they may want to give a longer look at, like PapaG. I'm not saying he won't play just that it isn't necessarily a guarantee for players that are alreadt in the rotation.
Do you think he would leave if Real Madrid offered him 20 mil for the season? He could come over the next season when he would still be only 20 and pocket 20mil. I know what my decision would be. I'm not saying it will happen but it definitely could be a possibility
Why would Real Madrid even do that though? I know he's great but they have loads of fringe NBA talent and could replace him and still sit atop of the standings again. It's not gonna happen.
Why would they? Cause they are loaded. One of the richest clubs in the world. Maybe it's not 20mil maybe 12-14mil. That's around double what he will make in the NBA next year. Might be hard to turn that down. What would you do and why?
They're not paying a single player over $3M... They're not going to toss $12M-$14M for one more year of Doncic. And if that was the plan, then Doncic wouldn't be coming into the draft this year. The rookie scale goes up a ton next year, and the top of this year's draft is stronger than next year's. So yeah, it's not going to happen.
That is incorrect. He is draft eligible this year. It also happens a lot with players being drafted from over seas but come over latter and sometime not at all. Like I said, I'm not saying it will happen as all I am saying is it is a possibility
You do realize that international prospects don't always enter the draft the year they become draft eligible? (ex. Rodions Kurucs) And players that get stashed are usually due to teams not have minutes available for them right away, so the NBA team has them stay in Europe so that they can play heavy minutes to continue their development. That wouldn't be the case with Doncic, as he'd likely start. When was the last time an international prospect drafted in the Top 10 remained overseas? So no, there's no chance that happens.
You're cracking me up. I will just leave it as it is always a possibility and we can agree to disagree. Probably time for us to move on.
Right here. And I'm going to Vegas for Summer League this year - I'll be there July 6th through the 9th, so I'll pass the baton onto tlong as I leave.....
