I worked with a couple guys who were Cougars. They always rooted for Oregon State to beat the Huskies and the Ducks. One of them used to be a wide receiver for the Cougars. Had one touchdown pass thrown at him. He grabbed it and dropped it. One of those situations where you wish you had a time machine and could go back in time. I was working up in Seattle for Boeing when the Huskies fans were calling for Oregon State to get out of the conference. A football game between the two schools came up and OSU beat the Huskies. Must have been about 1983 or '84. I went around to all the desks of Washington Alumni and rubbed it in the next working day. I kept hearing snickering from neighboring desks. I went up to one and said something about why the snickering. The reply was that they graduated from WSU and loved it that OSU beat the Huskies in Seattle. Sweet.
Brooke is fantastic at her job, and I enjoy her reports as much as anything on a game night basis. Sure she's beautiful, but you can tell she's not just a pretty face, but has a beautiful soul as well. Her caring for the Blazers like us fans comes through as well, and I dig that. She's the full meal deal. Smart, fun, beautiful, and a Blazer fan. She's the woman of my dreams, but being i'm probably almost as old as her dad, that dream has already sailed. That being said, I hope she continues with the Blazers as long as she wants too. But talented sports reporters like her are on a path of super success. She's the bomb.
Brooke is much more professional and prepares much better. Rebecca Harlow always seemed a bit forced and not near as natural. I'm sure she is a very nice lady, but just not in the same league in my opinion. Brooke has the potential to be the next Erin Andrews and I expect her moving up (unfortunately for us Blazer fans) in the future.
One more thing, At the Blazers/Nuggets game here in Denver in April, our seats were in the 2nd tier above where she sat and prepared. A couple of fans came down to speak to her, and you could tell her sweetness is real. She posed for a picture with multiple fans. So cool.
