The Oregonian is pure Buzzfeed trash tier now.

I can't believe Lebron didn't make the list.

lol, exactly, he pretty much named every decent and some not so decent free agents. Where's LeBron, Chris Paul and Durant? Geoffrey Arnold never came across as a good basketball mind. I rate him even below Dwight Jaynes.

Yes, they can get and stay below the apron, but if they did a S/T--even if they were never above the apron at any point--by virtue of the fact that they brought in a player via S/T, they would be prohibited from going above the apron for any reason whatsoever, even to re-sign their own RFA's.

Boogie's Achilles injury scares me. He's likely too expensive. Great talent but he'll always be a weak in the head. Despite the great year he was having, if anything the Pels seemed better without him. Don't know really. If we gave up CJ and "stuff" for Boogie, how do we replace CJ? Would still need another guard/wing too. I'm not sure shooting our wad on Boogie is the answer to getting us over the hump. :dunno:

Randle is a pipe dream. Harrell is a definite upgrade over Caleb, but he's restricted. Not sure how we'd get either. Barton thinks he's a starter, and he'll probably want starter money. Pass. LaVine's game is basically jumping. How's his knee doing?

Fuck Ariza. I could never root for him. His days are about done anyway, not that he was ever a missing piece. Brewer sucks. Anderson is restricted and I don't see S.A. letting him go anyway. Stephenson is trouble. I'd take a gamble on Noel if he were cheap. Like Thomas Robinson cheap. Lopez is not an upgrade. Not particularly interested in any of the old guys.

This list doesn't give me any hope at all. Need to look for a trade instead of a re-tread.

Well put. The ones we could get, we don't want. The few we might want, we can't get.

    Need to look elsewhere.

Arnold usually does better than this. A list of players we are VERY unlikely to get is
interesting, but only in a National Enquirer sort of way.

Hmmm. Well, that kind of sucks.

We may have to resort to that truck falling onto ET's house again.

I'll bite anyway. A name on the list that MIGHT be possible for us to get and who'd I'd like to see on the team is Harrell.
Would definitely move us closer to the "bad boys" attitude Nurk spoke of.

    Exactly. Try reading Platypus' post.

Being hard capped would mean that we would not be able to re-sign Nurk or Ed.

Assuming that we're keeping Nurk or Ed - most if not all the guys on the list are not realistically obtainable.

What a waste of an article. The title should be:

Here's a List of Guys We Might Want, but Can't Get.

    Stay tuned for Part 2:

Guys We Don't Want, but Might Be Able to Get.

You can have Cousins. Ariza is too old. I just don't like Brewer. The rest are okay with me.

By the way, I've recently learned that you've picked me and a few others to come over here for nefarious purposes. I just want you to know that I'm down with that. Yeah, that's right, I'm pure evil.

    We're hardcapped in a sign-and-trade at $125M, so that's unrealistic as well.

This dude just tossed out random names. It's crap content with no base in reality. I could write an article just as realistic saying we should target James Harden, LeBron James, Kristaps Porzingas, Giannis Antetokounmpo, etc.

Content like this makes me sick and it's part of the reason I want to get into the sports media scene.

One of the local radio shows today were talking about how awesome it would be to trade Turner and a draft pick to a team with cap space. I kept thinking what's the point? Then they were talking about how it would open up free agency as an option. You idiots!

Whiteside isn't a free agent. The article was about free agents.
