I think that's false... Huerter is a better shooter IMO.

How much $ do we have left to use in trades? Don't think we've spent a dime yet in this calendar year. So 3.5 mil?

That should be enough for the 34th pick.

Whether it is with ATL PHI or someone else, I'm told it is fairly likely the Blazers acquire another pick.

I like it. We need to bring over some cheap help on the bench.

Philadelphia will definitely be selling picks. I think they will sell minimum 2, maybe even 3 or all 4 (I think they have 4 second rounders).

Can’t see Portland adding two rookies to the roster. Not saying you’re wrong, just that it probably means what we've all thought; first rounder is going elsewhere.

Can we be smarter than last year? I know people have talked about using Swanigan in a trade, but I actually consider his value negative and looks as if Jonathan Givony agrees:
"I didn’t understand last year, like, I don’t know, Caleb Swanigan, you know, I didn’t get that. You can find that dude in free agency, maybe for the minimum, so why are you going to use a first round pick on him, not to pick on Portland but there were a lot of guys drafted in the 20s last year where you were like, why not just take a flyer on Sterling Brown."

    8 guaranteed contracts.

Plus the expected re-signings of Ed and Nurk. I’ll add Connaughton to this list as well just based off the teams love affair with him and his low cost.

That leaves 4 spots. Baldwin is worth developing. (Papagiannis is less of a certainty but they signed him for a reason.)

Now you’re down to 3. If you add two rookies, we’re left with one spot for a rotational player. We need more than one.

Connaughton probably isn't coming back, and we're not likely to add multiple vets via free agency. We have the spots.

Not sure which of these two statements is less likely to be true.

Oh and we’re also making the assumption that Portland will just let Napier go. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they kept him and eventually traded him sometime next year. But that’s still another roster spot.

So much wrong in this post. And it's not easier to show in person. I already know. Dipping the ball is completely unnecessary.
