The shoes added 2 inches? Edit: Oldfisherman already noticed.

The guy is tiny for a SG and a little short (like Lillard) for a PG. This is especially important for a high schooler because

Kobe endorsed Evan Turner, doesn’t mean he’s a good player.

got enough arc on your shot, what's 2 inches anyway....Curry shoots off the rafters and he's a shrimp by NBA standards

Doesn't mean Doncic or Ayton are either. What's your point?

I was getting ready to post that. Remember last year when Dame was high on Donovan Mitchell?

It's funny when people say things like, "I miss Trader Bob". This pick is exactly what someone like Trader Bob would have done. He always nabbed people like Simons. It's like gambling that he would be a lottery pick if he were in next year's draft.

My point is, who gives a shit what anyone says. Dude needs to prove himself before he gets ANY respect.

This kid has talent, but he’s a project. The pick was consistent with the notion that the Blazers weren’t looking to fix their deficiencies through the draft. Trades, TPEs, and the MLE are the tools he’ll be looking to use.

I had to call my father and rant for 10 minutes straight about this. He laughed the entire time. Thought it was hilarious.

We're both baffled by this pick. The best part about it is: there's no justification, at all, for it. Zip. Zero.

At least with Meyers he had the physical stats. But this kid has, literally, nothing.

He's a Blazer now...hasn't made a mistake and has a fresh slate....I'm cheering for his success and welcoming him to ripcity...I respect that he impressed our staff and earned a shot

When I posted that Simon is 6-3 and weighs only 181, I got the stats from this

    http://www.nbadraft.net/players/anfernee-simons

Now that I look back a half-hour later, his score has increased from 90 to 91! They increased his Strength rating from 7 to 8. They are jimmying their evaluations to fall into an order similar to the draft!

Truth is nobody knows yet what this kid is going to be. The facts are that he was drafted 24th and if you get a guy who can even play a little bit at that point in the draft you're doing OK. My expectations are low and the odds are he'll live up to those expectations. Was there a better option they passed on? Yeah? Maybe? Who knows? Was anybody at 24 going to push this team from an "also-ran" to serious contender status? I seriously doubt it.

So a big bowl of *shrug* from me.

He's done everything he could possibly do. He can't do more until summer league - same for every other player in the draft.

The truth is, of course, that you're pissed. Things didn't go your way, and rational or not, you're expressing your displeasure.
When you cool down, you'll give him a chance, if for no other reason than YOU DON'T HAVE A CHOICE.

Typical here, really. Everyone wants high risk, high reward. They laud it when it returns Lillard, and hate it when it gives
you Biebs. Simons is highly skilled at the game of basketball and will be a fantastic player. However, he is severely
physically limited. This is a good thing - if he wasn't he would have gone much earlier in the draft.
