Portland still hasn’t filled their two spots. Any predictions?

SL starter John Jenkins is a possibility
    Nunnally is also a possibility

It has to be your first 3 years in the league to get a 2-way contract, I believe. Jenkins was a rookie in 2012 so he isn't eligible.

    Bump. Still nobody.

With that in mind here are some guys. If we sign one of them I want a commission.

Chris McCullough- PF. Liked him coming out of Syracuse. Athletic 7 footer. Or at least he was last time I watched him. Didn’t watch him this season. Saw him in the g league two years ago. Has intriguing advanced numbers, both in the nba and in the g league. Had decent percentages from outside two years ago. Averaged 2 blocks per 36. Still only 23. Profiles well with Collins.

Jahlil Okafor- I believe he’s eligible.

Alfonzo McKinnie- Athletic wing that I took note of when I was watching Layman in the g league two years ago. Not a consistent shooter, but was on the raptors active roster last year.

Brandon Paul- just released by the Spurs. Was thought of as a 3&D guy but didn’t work out in San Antonio. Still might be worth a look. He’s only 6’4 but has a 6’10 wingspan and has the strength to guard small forwards.

Ok that’s it. Wish I didn’t feel like I spent more time writing this shit than Neil does actually watching any of these guys.

My guess is that Neil will wait until fall cuts occur. There are several teams with 17players on the roster & they have to cut someone

Of course Portland is the only team without at least one two way player. I love Neil!

Well like Tester said, he's probably waiting. Last year having an open spot for a 2-way allowed us to sign Wade Baldwin. I think your criticisms here are a little over the top.

Everyone knows my opinion of NO but being upset about his use of 2 way contracts seems pretty petty. Maybe we should talk about how freaking off base his comments have been the last few months compared to what he’s done...

Anyways, I like the idea of waiting and see if a team lets go of a young prospect he likes.

So you're complaining about Neil not signing two-way contracts with guys that aren't eligible for two-way contracts? Haha.

Neither McCullough or Okafor are eligible.

Both Okafor and McCullough only have 3 years of service, so they are still eligible for 2-way deals this season.

No they arent. This is quoted directly from the CBA.

Since they'd be signing a deal that would put them under contract during their 4th year, it's not allowed.

Then explain how CJ Wilcox was eligible last year.

OK--I stand corrected. Interesting (and surprising, and disappointing) that the G-league's official page appears to have it wrong.

    Excellent question.

Perhaps a player can sign a 2-way deal when they have 3 years of service, but it must be converted to a fully guaranteed minimum-salary deal if the team wants that player to play a single NBA game in their 4th year?

Actually, Scalma brings up a good point:
I have no idea. RJ Hunter is still eligible. It makes no sense to me unless there's a stipulation based off of games played, or what you just stated above.
