I wonder who was doing most of the talking during Trump-Putin “summit”? Which liar
was most convincing? Is trump going to back America or Russia? There is only one party,
according to trump, and that is the trump party. He denounced everything democratic.
He has placed Putin on a higher level.

...CL, I just watched the post-summit press conference...just when I though Trump could not be even more embarrassing to this country and to the rest of the free world, he manages to sink to new lows.

...I don't know how brain dead someone has to be to continue to blindly defend this POS we have as president.

I am beyond furious with this POS....But more so with the Republican Congress & Senate......to not question this man to defend Putin’s word over America’s DOJ, CIA, FBI. People, that red light is blinking brighter & brighter and
    still their tongues fall silent.

...the GOP is and has been putting the party before the country...they're cowards who care about nothing but getting re-elected.

...with overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Trump still values Putin's denials over the word of his own justice department and others. Maybe we should completely revamp the whole judicial/trial system and use Trump's logic by simply disregarding any and all evidence vs criminals and just ask them if they "did it"?... If they deny it, turn them loose...yeah, that's the ticket.

...but hey, Putin did after all, give Trump a soccer ball so I suppose this summit should be viewed as a great success. [rolls eyes]

Trump & his party believe Putin, a methodical, calculating, technical trained KGB agent/killer, that he tells the truth.
Trump’s base like Putin because trump shows highly admiring favor for this adversary. Since they have such
admiration for Putin, it would do America well if they all packed their baggage and took residence in Putin’s Russia.
It is obvious that trump & his base do not favor American democratic principles of justice, freedom & truth, but should be enthralled with the idea of living under the law of an autocrat. How much does it matter that Putin invaded
Americans through cyber warfare & why doesn’t trump denounce this attack on the American people? Or are we not
    that important?

    Neil Cavuto talking about Trump’s actions at Helsinki Trump/Putin Summit;

“It’s disgusting. I’m sorry, that’s the way I feel. This is not a right or left thing, it’s a right or wrong thing.”

SASC CHAIRMAN JOHN McCAIN ON TRUMP-PUTIN MEETING
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement today on President Trump’s meeting and press conference with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki:

“Today’s press conference in Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory. The damage inflicted by President Trump’s naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is difficult to calculate. But it is clear that the summit in Helsinki was a tragic mistake.

“President Trump proved not only unable, but unwilling to stand up to Putin. He and Putin seemed to be speaking from the same script as the president made a conscious choice to defend a tyrant against the fair questions of a free press, and to grant Putin an uncontested platform to spew propaganda and lies to the world.

“It is tempting to describe the press conference as a pathetic rout – as an illustration of the perils of under-preparation and inexperience. But these were not the errant tweets of a novice politician. These were the deliberate choices of a president who seems determined to realize his delusions of a warm relationship with Putin’s regime without any regard for the true nature of his rule, his violent disregard for the sovereignty of his neighbors, his complicity in the slaughter of the Syrian people, his violation of international treaties, and his assault on democratic institutions throughout the world.

“Coming close on the heels of President Trump’s bombastic and erratic conduct towards our closest friends and allies in Brussels and Britain, today’s press conference marks a recent low point in the history of the American Presidency. That the president was attended in Helsinki by a team of competent and patriotic advisors makes his blunders and capitulations all the more painful and inexplicable.

“No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant. Not only did President Trump fail to speak the truth about an adversary; but speaking for America to the world, our president failed to defend all that makes us who we are—a republic of free people dedicated to the cause of liberty at home and abroad. American presidents must be the champions of that cause if it is to succeed. Americans are waiting and hoping for President Trump to embrace that sacred responsibility. One can only hope they are not waiting totally in vain.”

Even NJ guys give him the finger before the Presidency and after. Today was his worst debacle when he tweeted his bull shit 20 minutes before his meet with Putin. What gets me is that this occurred in Helsinki, Finland where the Russians and Fins still despise each other.

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro called Trump’s performance “self-serving and utterly grotesque,” before declaring Trump “made a fool of himself.”

    ...ooops.

...I guess the usual suspects suddenly have lockjaw and are waiting for someone spin this fiasco for them...wait for it.

    From The New York Times

Anything that stokes divisions inside the United States, or between America and its allies, is viewed by Moscow as a victory. Deploying hackers, disinformation campaigns and support for far-right populist forces in Europe, Mr. Putin has long sought to fracture the West and upend the established geopolitical order. But Mr. Trump, who routinely attacks European leaders and has started a trade war with some of America’s closest allies, is now effectively doing the job for him.

Mr. Trump’s persistent tirades on the expense of NATO and his fury at the trade practices of the European Union, which he recently described as “possibly as bad as China, just smaller,” have startled even Russian pundits who have for years watched as Mr. Putin, like Soviet-era leaders before him, tried in vain to undermine the trans-Atlantic alliance.

“We are witnessing something surprising, something that even the Soviet Union was not able to accomplish: Divide the U.S. and Western Europe. It didn’t work then, but it seems to be working with Mr. Trump now,” Tatyana Parkhalina, president of the Russian Association for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation, said on a recent talk show on state-run television.
