I actually hear that Voodoo doughnuts is overrated. Mind you, it's been years since I've had one; I'm just quoting what I've heard here and there over time.
I've had them once and I have to agree with what you've heard. We get ours at Sesame Donuts in Tigard.
We have a Krispy Kremes up here in Clark County, but it's a ways away from where I live and I haven't been there in years. Amazing doughnuts though!
That reminds me.....my mother and I go once a year to the Bauman Farms pumpkin weighoff in Gervais Oregon. https://baumanshf.com/ They have AMAZING doughnuts there. Oh my God, so good. Not bad cider either.
Never had a Krispy Kreme except a small sample of the donut holes they sell at 7/11. Terrible. Not a good representative I'm sure but I wouldn't want a bad product out there if I were them.
Yeah, I imagine that's a bit of Capitalism gone to their head, trying to sell their products to a mass market instead of in house. Please trust me when I tell you that there is simply no comparison between what you buy at 7-11, and what you buy in their shop, fresh off the glaze conveyor.
There are probably 5 or 10 mom and pop donut places within 10 minutes of my house. I don't eat donuts but I'm sure there are better one's than a chain.
"High Tea" in St. Lucia meant Kobe burgers, sweet potato fries, gin cocktails, a whisky and a cigar. Forget this "scones and Earl Grey" stuff. If I was a millionaire I may not have left...
They're almost exclusively glazed donuts. I've tasted very very few glazed donuts that were different.
I can't stand Earl Grey tea. The gin cocktails and the whiskey and cigar sound really good, though. I used to smoke a lot of cigars but then I got married. No more whiskey and poker and cigars and dirty jokes, and long mustaches, and loud shirts and staying up late and fast food. On the plus side my wife claims I'm much happier.
I love ice tea and especially with a squeeze of lemon. I can't have any sugar on my doctor's advice. If you knew all the drink and foods I can't have you wouldn't believe me. No artichoke, avacado, nuts, dried beans i.e. baked beans, cooked beans etc. but string beans are okay, no milk products, cheese etc., cantaloupe, papaya, orange juice, grapefruit juice, apricots, chocolate, potato, bananas, brown bread, tomato, spinach, nectarine, I know there's more but I can't think of it off the top of my head. I'm also severely limited in my fluid intake. I cheat and have one beer. Not supposed to have sugar or other carbohydrates except in limited quantity.
LOL, sounds like me, minus the wife. I just got back from smoking a cigar; the experience of which was less than desirable since my usual smoking joint (the Shilo Inn on Airport Way) changed their hours without me knowing about it. So instead of closing at 12, they closed at 11. I got there at 10:30, thinking I had a nice hour and a half to smoke, and lit up a box pressed AVO Syncro Nicaragua. I paid $12 for it, and had it resting for over a year. Then they kicked me out, and I had to finish off the second half of the fucking thing in my parent's Cadillac (I'm borrowing it until this heat wave is over; my usual car doesn't have A/C) with the windows open and the wind blowing. Not fun. Very good cigar though. I definitely recommend it.
I see nothing wrong with this cop's actions. He followed as safely as he could, told the other cop ahead of him to fall back a bit because the guy was shooting at them. Kept reporting to dispatch. Did any of those bullets make it through the windshield? Safety glass? Man he got them though, then emptied another clip into the truck. Daaaammmnn...usually if a cop uses that much ammo I'm talking accessive force, but I think it was neccessary here.
Why if he shoots off a lot of rounds is it excessive force? I've read about tons of cases where a single magazine wasn't enough. I'm just curious; not trying to start an argument. I think a lot of people have a misconceptions of how bullets and firearms behave. Remember: it's all about shot placement. As for the windshield, yes, all of those bullets made it out (I'm sure it was loud as hell though!), but if the bullets weren't bonded to the lead core, then it's likely the jacket of the bullet separated from the round when exiting the windshield.
That is harsh..wild guess, sounds like a severe autoimmune disorder. Something like gout or rheumatoid arthritis...although , I bet they throw in the beans and cheese as a favor to your bride
Not excessive force. I guess just excessive. Its situational though. Sometimes fire more bullets than neccessary. Maybe he didn't need to unload that whole second clip. Maybe he did. A lot of officers will take a couple shots, find cover, guage the situation, and continue shooting if necessary. This cop went John McClane. Yippekiyye mother fucker on their ass. It seemed to be very warranted. Yeah it looked like he was having a hardtime shooting through the windshield. I was thinking the same thing, it had to be loud as hell.
I've had gout and now take a med for it. One of the couple of dozen pills I have to take every day. Get my blood tested once a month, sometimes more often. No, the diet has nothing to do with the gout or an auto immune disorder. I forgot to mention the experimental drug they gave us in Vietnam. They told us it was for malaria but decades later I learned it had nothing to do with malaria. 50 years later and I still don't know what it was for. I guess they thought we were all guinea pigs.
