No disrespect to Ed, but he's no Wes Matthews. Compared to Wes, Ed was like having arrhythmia.

Most rookies sign their deals before they will participate in summer league.

After the draft Neil used the excuse that no one in the league is making trades to explain his inactivity... I would love to hear his excuse now that a bunch of trades have gone down... unbelievable after getting swept by a mediocre Pelicans Neil is bringing back essentially the same team

Okay, you can't really be serious about Spurs, OKC and Denver?

    Certainly:

    Tier 1: Warriors; Rockets
Tier 2: Utah, T-Wolves, Denver, Pelicans, Blazers
    Tier 3: Spurs, OKC, L@kers

Or another way to look at it:
    Warriors (gained another all-star starter)
Rockets (lost Ariza, may gain the human anchor Anthony)
    Utah (status quo)
Lakers (Ball coming off knee surgery, LABron)
    T-Wolves (status quo with infighting)
    OKC (minus Anthony)
    Denver (IT?!?!?!?)
Spurs (lost two of their best players and have minimal talent remaining)
Pelicans (Randle, I'll give you this one)
Blazers (very young bigs growing, added four significant shooting options)

LeBron has been at minimum a +11 wins in his first season on new team. Carmelo was an addition by subtraction, plus all nba defender Roberson was injured last year. TWolves were 3rd seed until Butler got injured. DeRozen, LA and Popovic better than Dame, CJ, and Stotts. Having Gobert healthy all year is better than status quo.

I would pay to get Chauncey Billups as General Manager instead of this useless pice of shit Olshey. Billups knows how to build a team

We don’t know if Billios would be a good gm or not, I don’t think he’s ever done it has he?

No. But he said he want's to become a General Manager in the NBA and create a Championship roster one day. I'll take him in a heartbeat. Billups has a good standing around the League and is a Champion. He would build a roster for the Playoffs and not for RS

"LeBron has been at minimum a +11 wins in his first season on new team." Giving L@kers maybe 45-46 wins, assuming they mesh and assuming Ball comes back healthy.

"Carmelo was an addition by subtraction, plus all nba defender Roberson was injured last year." Major assumptions. Not clear if Anthony was the only problem and assuming great health from Roberson

"TWolves were 3rd seed until Butler got injured." And they have been fighting in the media about motivation and team issues.

"DeRozen, LA and Popovic better than Dame, CJ, and Stotts." Who plays defense for that team now? Assumptions that +DeRozan is similar to or better than -Leonard,Parker and Ginobili.

"Having Gobert healthy all year is better than status quo." If Olshey's biggest accomplishment over the summer was getting a player healthy you could consider that above the status quo?

I don't disagree with much of what you say, it's just that you are placing other teams in the best light and Blazers in the worst light in a way that is less than fully realistic.

I'm not saying I love the team as is. We still need another star or two half stars. A lot of my faith is one one of our young talents. I really wish we could trade CJ for a two-way player. But, I don't think we took a giant step back either. The only teams that I see took a big step forward over the summer are Warriors and L@kers (a giant step up from a very low step). Everyone else is in the mix the same as the Blazers are. A lot depends on chemistry and development and coaching over the next year.

No, not at all. I think it can change it though. Mine did.

Spending money and all the time it takes to go to games makes me want to be competitive night in and night out. If they went into the tank I would stop paying. I think the team can “let it bake” and still have a shot to make a move for the next 3-5 years.

I think the odds are in his favor. He seems smart and knows the game and players, but to just say he will be a good GM is more crazy talk.

Just like saying NO hasn't done anything and is bringing the same team back is crazy talk. lol.

We aren’t talking about Wes though......We are talking about Zach/Caleb TRYING to replace what he brought.

Dude, at least make fucking sense when you rip someone. Olshey has built some solid teams, Billups has never been a GM. So to say Billups knows how to build a team is completely stupid and takes away any credibility you have.

Say something like you'd rather risk that Billups would know what to do than keep Olshey.
