Lol. No offense to Eric but 5% of Bones' watchers are black.

    :dunno:

He probably has never heard of the show or....

He could be like Dame and be the only black person that watches Monk.

That's why I didn't quote you, but there are others in that thread bitching POR being a lottery team.

I don’t think they will be a lottery team, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they had a good year and finished 9th or something. My guess is 4th or 5th. It’s a tight race... i don’t think the OKC / ATL deal does much to alter that balance for anyone...

Exactly this. Their frontcourt is still pretty weak in my opinion.

Not sure what that signifies. Would it have been better to be 10 games over .500 and then end up at 49-33? The end is the end no matter how you get there.

Good point, I was just saying that only talking about how good they were in March doesn’t encapsulate the whole season, not saying to ignore march either...

You need to bifurcate the win streak from the rest of the season... you can’t ignore the fact that they were a .500 team outside of those 13 games... below .500 if you include playoffs

They spent the last month as the #3 seed....3 games from not making the Playoffs. The margin was very thin. Teams around them had MAJOR injuries to very key players. Portland took advantage...but it's not like SA, OKC, UTA, MIN were even close to full strength.

It's semantics but you are saying 36-33 is .500 and 36-37 is below .500.

It means that four or five posters in here are going to say that if we aren't the other team involved that Olshey is asleep.

I talked with a lot of people on the German nba Page about the Blazers and everybody, really everybody said Blazers overachieved last Season because of the injuries to Key Players outside of the Blazers. For example:

Minnesota: was ahead of us until butler got hurt and they fall from 3rd seed to 8th, and btw both Games we won were when Butler was out, so think about it

San Antonio: the whole Season without their best Player, Imagine Dame was out for the entire Season, and still spurs only 2 Games behind Portland.

Okc: started to play very well until Roberson got hurt, they had a crazy good net rating with him.

New Orleans: Boogie got hurt, you can say they still played good and Maybe even better without him but Boogie is probably the best Center in the League healthy, so they Maybe would have been also ahead of us.

Utah: Gobert missed almost 2 months or so and when he came back they made an insane run, without Goberts injury, they 100% would have been ahead of us.

We took Advantage, but the 3rd seed wasn't for real, that's the reality

Exactly! Hang another championship banner from the rafters. We were 50 -10 in 1978 before Walton got hurt..... yes the other teams took advantage when he went down, but we all know it wasn't real......that's the reality. And don't get me started on Oden and BRoy....

That is so stupid. So if we went 10-4 and 10-3 that would be different?

Life is a bitch. FACT, we were the 3rd seed. Go cry in a fucking Jazz, Thunder, Spurs etc forum, but get this fucking shit out of here.

It's rather sickening to see so called Blazer fans work so hard to discredit a team they CLAIM to root for.
