MIL was so desperate for help on the wing, they signed Pat Connaughton. Come December 15, we need to convince them Nik Stauskas is an upgrade over Patty Baseball and trade one of our surplus guards for one of their surplus bigs. They currently have five centers and four power forwards on their roster. Lets work out a trade that balances the rosters of both teams (and no, not Tyler Zeller, we have the big white lottery bust position filled on our roster). BNM
Evidently McCullough got a two way offer from a team but turned it down because he’s looking for a guaranteed contract, and if he doesn’t get it, he’ll head overseas. Playing overseas will be good for his game imo. I’d still sign Brandon Sampson. Shit maybe even give him one of those exhibit 10 deals; training camp invite that could turn into a two way contract. Only problem is since we don’t have a g league affiliate, we couldnt offer a bonus. Still, beats sitting on the street.
I guess the better question is why? We don't have room for another big league contract so why would we sign him to an Exhibit 10 instead of a simple Two-Way, since the Exhibit 10 would turn into a 2-way contract?
Bump. think Portland will be active on the waiver wire to fill those two spots. Any names that are on the bubble that also qualify for two way deals?
What part of this confuses you? That he likes fringe NBA players? That he doesn't seem to have an appreciation for the G-League?
I said maybe because he likes reclamation projects and fringe NBA players which are usually two-way contract players, but two way contract players spend a lot of time in the G-League (which Olshey doesnt seem to vakue) and last year he signed a guy who was injured all year and didnt even play, as well as Baldwin who was extremwly obvious.
I asked what bubble players (meaning guys that might get cut by other teams) are out there that also qualify for two way deals. “Maybe” isn’t an answer.
How the hell would I know what bubble guys that haven't been cut yet that Neil will pursue with a two way contract? Jeez, I was more-so pointing out a contradiction in Olsheys ways, I didn't know you were desperate for a "yes" or a "no". At least I know how to turn the snark off.
