I may be a moron, but I also seem to be the only one who noticed T-Mac lost.

Did anyone noticed all that time Houston waisted to foul on Utah in the 4th I thought that was very odd after Tracy made the basket.

He didn't say "F*ck." He took deep breaths, exhailed, wiped his eyes, looked up, said "I can't do it, man," and walked out of the room with his eyes watered. I feel bad for the guy, I really do. Not only has he been one of my favorite players in the league for the past 5 years or so, but he has heart and he wants it badly. I feel bad that he has never gotten past this point, it's almost wrong that a player of his caliber hasn't gotten past the 1st round. I hope he does some day.

PFF I'm going to refer back to your point about Jerry West. He's forever known as one of the greatest clutch players in history, and for getting bumped out of the Finals by the Celtics almost every year in the 60's. Would you say he choked? He played amazingly, he even got the Finals MVP in a losing effort in 69, but his team lost. By your logic, he choked.

Jerry West made it out of the 1st round. What you're saying is irrevelant. TMac has never been out of the first round in his career. It's a continuous thing. Jerry West doesn not fit in the category because he made the finals, won one. Different situations. TMac hasn't even come close to anything like West.

T-Mac has the 4th highest PPG average in NBA history, and had one of his greatest games ever in game 7. He led 2-3 huge charges from 10[ts or more down to bring team back into game. It is not his fault JVG stopped using him as a scorer, instead force feeding it to Yao. It is not his fault the defense had huge lapses and couldn't rebound for their lives at the end of the game. It is not his fault they didn't foul right away with 10 seconds left. T-Mac deserves blame for the series, but he did not choke. He did not pull a no-show. He played his heart out and had one of the best games of his career.

TMac took a ton of terrible shots.TMac played bad defense by his heightened playoff standards.TMac was inconsistent. But, "he choked"? Are you guys retarded. When the Rockets made their comeback, it was because of TMac. He was attacking, passing, and hustling. The man played his heart out, he played under standards, but still did a decent job. There's this center named Yao, who was eerily predictable and in showing off his repertoire more than Pamela Anderson got pushed out and missed more easy shots than my next door neighbor's 6 year old son. There's this point guard named Rafer Alston, who missed more open jumpers than I can count. There's Jeff Van Gundy, who took TMac out numerous times while he was in the groove. There's Yao and Juwan Howard who could not have played worse defense.Oh Yeah, and Utah, they're pretty damn good (4th best remaining team).TMac didn't play well, but he didn't choke. Choking is when one becomes nervous without reason, they over complicate the game needlessly and do as bad as possible against shoddy defense.TMac wasn't nervous, he played like he normally does and had trouble against an underrated defense. He deserves blame, maybe a lot of it, but he didn't choke, and he wasn't the only reason for Houston's demise.

Incredible 2nd halves of game 1 & 2, 16asts in game 5, and then one of his best alla round games ever in game 7. If he did not have those huge 2nd halves of games 1 & 2, it would have been a sweep.Bottom line is that T-Mac didn't have near enough help. When your superstar has 29/13/5/3 on 12-25 shooting and you lose, there is a serious problem with the pieces around you.

Or he might end up as the next 'Nique with no playoff sucess. Maaaan... [IMG]I feel so angered that no one stepped up the whole series and played consistantly like TMac and Chuck Hayes did...
