I saw parts of it and Chytil looked very good. I'd like to see more of Bigras, he has some intrigue being a former high pick and some nice offensive ability.

I'd like to see Gorton clear out Staal and Smith for some young defenseman.

Chytil showed for the first time why many talk so highly of him. Both Anderson and Chytil have great hockey sense at such a young age. Hajek stands out, should be a decent top 4 defenseman IMO. I know we care about youngsters, but I thought McQuaid is pretty good. I like having him protecting kids. McLoud is awful. I hope they keep McQuaid over MCloud. Shatenkirk sucked, he cannot defend at all. Also, PK is scary bad. I watch every preseason, and you usually see one or two players who stand out on the PK, like it is obvious, but this year it is horrific. Outside of McQuaid, nobody knows what they are doing. They are just stationary. Vesey is degrading IMO. Howden is talented but not ready yet, IMO.

One full year of AHL action will do Hajek and Howden good, and Lindgren too. All three would be pretty much ready for full-time a year from now. Kravtsov looks great so far making plays in the K. Dude has some serious ability.

I think the PP will be fine. I'm not worried. New system and new coaches. Takes time. I've said all along that Shattenkirk should play the full 2 minutes on the PP, and 3rd pairing defenseman time at even strength. I better not see Holland, McLeod or Letteri in the fucking lineup. I want to see Meskanen and Fontaine out there. I'm a little worried this new coach will play fucking scrubs on the 4th line. Hajek needs to make the team. Enough of Staal and Smith. One needs to go. Period.

Holland should really only be a minors callup guy but i can see Lettieri making it with Nieves out and Meskanen maybe needing more time.
