https://www.blazersedge.com/platfor...&utm_source=twitter&__twitter_impression=true Any thoughts here? Seems like its lingering and could limit him for quite a while. Sit him until December?
Honestly, there has to be a piece to this puzzle that hasnt been made public. Did he have a 2nd surgery? Was his knee’s worse than they thought? Is it not healing correctly? It was supposed to be a minor thing months ago. I dont know if you sit him or what you do, but this isnt good news...
I just don't understand the Blazers handling of this issue. Did they fuck up his surgery? Does he have to have another? The silence are their end is frustrating. If you have to sit him for an extended time just say so.
Yea I don’t understand what the fuck is the big deal to just say his shit is fucked and it’s going to take longer. My goodness I don’t get the big deal
The broadcast has said multiple time that his ankles been bothering him, likely the result of him favoring his knee...
He soreness in the knee last night or was it due that Dame or CJ wasn't going so he use that unil Fri when Dame and CJ plays.
I think he had a similar lingering issue last year too. I just hope it's not Moody Moe rearing its ugly head.
I didn't know I had MMM (Mopey/Moody Moe Malaise) until Media Day. Now I realize, for how much I love the guy, I've had it up to here with his sensitivities...
Do people really think Orlando gave Moe away to Portland for pocket lint out of the kindness of their heart? They gave up on him after 3 years - but I guess Ole' is a slow study. He finally cut bait on Vonleh and Crabbe, but he still hasn't figured it out with Moe and Leonard.
It is a long season. Why play him against the Suns? It is already too late to start him opening night. Might as well be cautious and ease him into the rotation. Guys like Dame are effective at 90%. Moe needs to be at 100%. I think some are jumping to conclusions here. It would be nice to have him help with LeBron as LBJ tends to get a lot of players in foul trouble.
Nah. I think it's just oft injured Moe. When he's healthy he plays hard, then gets hurt. The flashes he showed last year when he was healthy and he seemingly got his head straight were terrific. The job seemed to be his to take this season, if only the guy could stay healthy. Meanwhile, it's a good thing the Blazers signed Stauskas, and Layman seems to be coming on strong.
Realistically, who's out there that's available and an obvious upgrade? Last summer we tried to trade him for Melo (which would have been awful, because at this point Mo is better than Melo).
Here’s what you do if Harkless is out (btw he’s listed as probable for tomorrow’s game so we’ll see) You start Collins and move Aminu to SF. Wow. That was hard. Also, cut Biggie and use the Vonleh TPE to find a better big. Holmes, Maker, etc. Or just sign Anthony Bennett to a two way. Bet he’s better too lol.
I’m with you. Layman has earned it. Harkless is overrated and it’s not a coincidence he was given up on fast by his former team and didn’t get any free agency love
Layman has looked good so I'm not too worried at this point. We'll see what Jake can do when the bright lights come on for a real game.
