Yeah I worry about that on opening night for sure. Especially if LBJ guards him. Last year they gave Hark 20+ games to win the job and he sucked. Then came through later in the season. For Layman I also think he would be inconsistent for a while but by the end of the season I think you will have at the very least, a more athletic version of Allen Crabbe. Someone who not only can hit an open three and spread the floor for CJ and Dame and Nurk, but unlike Crabbe can finish well at the rim too.
Harkless disappeared for the first 20 games last year. I think he had a couple of decent games and then the Rose Garden floor opened up and he disappeared. It was a couple of weeks before I noticed he was gone.
Yeah I was joking, but it’s the matchup I want to see. Laymans gonna steal Lebrons spotlight on national television wow can’t wait.
I thought your guy The IV is our LeBron-stopper. What happened? Olshey never does anything, but he should call Ruben Patterson fast.
The only thing Ruben is stopping these days is child support payments. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/ne...support-says-butler-co-prosecutor/1076774002/
My understanding is the the Lakers start LBJ and Brandon Ingram (6'9" 190) at forwards. So yeah Aminu would take LeBron. Kuzma is also listed as a PF off the bench (6'9" 220) Walton wants to play small ball. They are running and gunning.
When Rashard Lewis was a rookie, he was outplayed all season by surprise 2nd-year player Ruben Patterson playing like a star, and even by no-name rookie Jelani McCoy. Late in the season, coach Paul Westphal just gave the minutes to wimpy Lewis to develop him. Not that it matters, just one of a billion little memories I have. Patterson was a big find, but subsequent events reigned him in as we know, and he was never again allowed to play with full aggression. He had been on his way to becoming a Sonic starter.
I think Evan Turner is the better Defender for LeBron, because he's stronger than Aminu. It probably does not change anything, because LeBron is LeBron, but at least he could slow him down a bit more than Aminu
Let me set you straight on this. Just because YOU haven't heard of someone doesn't mean they are "no-name" players. Jelani McCoy came from UCLA and Patterson from Cincinnati. Most basketball fans knew of both of them prior to their Sonics days. Please stop making up shit to support this weird Sonics fetish.
That all you got? By NBA standards, those two were no-name, AKA (also known as) 2nd-round picks. (Irrelevant to your original point that Whitsitt didn't make finds, since Whitsitt was with Portland by the time of 2nd-rounders McCoy, Patterson, and Lewis. Ha ha.)
You didn't, but Baldwin is known as our best wing defenseman. And tonight we play LeBron. You posted, "Laymans gonna steal Lebron's spotlight on national television." Since you've been Baldwin's biggest advocate since last season, I'm saying, you should be pushing Baldwin to defend LeBron, not Layman. (When someone has to explain his joke, the amusement and irony are long gone...Never mind.)
Yeah I seem to recall Turner getting the LeBron assignment the last couple of years. I doubt he starts though. The second unit is built around him. I’m guessing he’ll be in the closing unit.
