    Cashman’s press conference.....missed Boone’s take.

Management is set in cement. It’ll be Trashman and BaBoone in 2019. The big news is that Didi Gregorius will
undergo Tommy John surgery and will be ready in mid summer 2019. Thinking that Gleyber will take over at SS.
Pitching was not Cashman’s concern in Games 3 & 4; lack of hitting was more of a concern for Cashman.
( This totally blew my mind! ).

Not surprised by Trashman’s organization policy take of how BaBoone managed. “He’s our guy”. No mention of starting pitching. Sports media people not asking the hard questions
about this team. Trashman as usual is rambling on & on with no answers.

Really pissed that Game 3, 16-1 loss at home, he states....”we let our fans down. It is what it is”.
And his comment ends there. Really?

Sonny Gray...we will try to find a place for him, but if we can’t, we’ll work with him. He is very
talented. ( Don’t like the sound of this).

Trashman must have majored in Bull#hit 101.
“We will have to see what our budget is and we will work from there.”

Steinbrenner brothers have been so settled on Cashman, I do not think they are
capable of getting a new GM.....they will need help......plenty of help! But forget it.....
    Trashman is their man.

Analytics is here to stay in Yankeeland......but of course, the people who operate
and interpret the systematic computational analysis of data or statistics are the
    real culprits.

I wonder what that data showed on: Sonny Gray, GianKarlo Stanton, etc.???
The human factor is gone......a machine will give us the answer. I wonder if that machine
informed Yankees that Gian Karlo had over 220 Ks in his hollow bat?

Didn't hear that Keuchel hated on the Yankees. If he does then he won't sign here (probably sign with Boston or Houston). I would love to keep Andujar and fix his defense. But all I am hearing is that D is not really able to be fixed. I love the guy, personally.

Harper. Not sure what he does in a locker room where he is not the biggest attraction. He has the desire to play for the Yankees and is the LH power bat we desperately need for our lineup. He has been learning 1b so, in the later years of a contract, he would be a versatile piece.

I Respect your opinion 55. I may be a little giddy with the idea that we can actually spend money this offseason

Didi being out until mid season may be the nail in the coffin to sign Machado.

I would love to see Du make a huge improvement on D or learn how to play 1b and an OF position. That bat is incredible, young and home grown.

Bad news on Didi. You never know with that surgery until it's done and he starts rehabbing. He's not a pitcher but the time table is only an estimate. Sweeney Murti tweeted a reasonable question. He will be a free agent after next season so has he played his last game as a Yankee?

Boone on CC, game #4.....”stuff wise, CC was OK.” He made reference that in the past, we were more aggressive because you can see his stuff fall off.....in other words you did not recognize that his stuff may have fallen off if he let seven of the first 12 batters get on base? No wonder Trashman likes this guy, he has double talk down pat.

I was not a fan of Gregorius when he first became a Yankee but as the old Virginia Slim Commercial geos "you've come a long way baby". The Yankees won't be hurting with Toe or Hecavarria in defense. If Torres is sent to short who plays 2nd? Can't see Walker being signed. I'm also wondering what will happen at first beteen Bird & Voit. Boner can say anything he likes but all of the criticisms hurled his way have got to sting. Don't want to hear any of that first year manger shit either, Cora was 1st year and won.

DD's conditon will give way to Trashman in serious talks with Machado, no doubt. Not sure Manny will sign, and he's NOT a Bor-ass client, but will more than likely be asking for 20-Mil-$$$

Sure GT can play SS, but I doubt he will for long. Keep 'em at 2nd, let both GT and Andujar mature.

DO NOT replace Andujar. His .948 fldg% isn't good, but it wasn't that bad, 149 gms 23 yrs of age, .297 B'Avg, give the kid a fair shake/break, he WILL come around. If Andujar is traded, the trade impact or Andujar he WILL come back around to haunt the Yanx.

Nettles first full season in Cleveland 154 gms at 3b a .973 fld%, 26 yrs of age.
    1st season at Thunder Alley in t/Bronx .958 fld% 157 gms (1973) age: 28 with a .234 B'Avg.

Machado signing makes sense, tho' he will not be cheap...

Honestly, I'd toss Stanton, sign McCutchen to a LF spot, keep Hicks in CF, Judge in RF. Hope to hell Frazier can break in finally, and get an endorsement for Excedrin to help him along the yr...

Keep Harper's cancer out of NY/NY... (Scott Bor-ass client.

Mike Trout will be available (maybe) in 2021 at 28/29 yrs of age, is not a Borass Client. Trout will be making 34-35 Mil-$$ by then, not sure any player's worth that much, period....

If Tyler Wade can adjust to ML pitching he could be the Gardner of the middle infield. Love his defense, speed and hustle.

    Fk Boone,
    FK Trashman
    FK Stanton
    FK Chapman
    FK Walker
    FK Bird
    FK Keuchel
    FK CC
    FK Gray
and Double Dog FK Jacoby DinglefkngBerry..
Give Gardner a handshake and buy him out. Give him the Johnny Damon rubber arm award...

Imho- Sheffield is NOT the answer. The kid doesn't throw beyond 93, and from what I've seen (both in the Minors and short time w/the big boys) he's not the answer, a young CC waiting to happen. Lacks the craftiness, and power to be legit...

Chance Adams/German/Cessa/Lasagna are not the answers either. FK all but Lasagna, give him another yr to sink or swim....
    So yeah-
    FK Sheffield
    FK Adams
    FK German
    FK Cessa,
give Lasagna another look.... and if he don't pan out then:
    FK him too....

Yes, offer Happ 2 yrs, 3rd year buyout option.

Yep, take a hard serious look at Corbin. No he's not the answer, but is a solid #3 guy, or #4 with Happ around. Simply because he's a NL SP doesn't mean diddly squat. Some would argue that much is a bonus.... not my arguement, but he looks fine, looked great before TJ surgery.

Monty will return in August of 019, will take him another yr or 2 beyond that maybe???

Saw a clip of Kay discussing possible deals with the D-Backs. Arizona will be in a rebuild and will probably trade just about anyone.

The guys he talked about were Goldschmidt and Greinke - G+G Boys.

I think Machado seems more likely and like a better fit because of his defense at 3b - but I'll take Goldy. Anytime.

Greinke I would go for as well, they would just have to even out the $$ a little bit.

Don't think yanks touch machado and he runs when he wants hustle with a 10 foot pole. The major free agent they need is harper and his lefty bat and he fits into left field. They will go with torres at ss till didi gets back and not only will be back but yanks love him and will resign him. He is a lefty hitter which they desperately need with power. I think being a position player instead of a pitcher I think we see didi back sometime in june. The free agent pitcher will be corbin as their is a mutual interest here. Right now only lefty bat is hicks and yanks need to find a couple more before next season. Goldschmidt is a very good player but is another righty batter and will cost a lot. Pass. Greinke cannot come anywhere near ny with his anxiety problems.

You are correct sir, in New York Greinke would be a high priced Sonny Gray. Yankees will have to look for a First Baseman, Bird did not work out and Voit is shaky on defense,

    ^^^^....

    Great point-ssss Mel...

Machado's quit lazy out of the box &-A bad influence to the youngsters, another Ca-No-!!

Lefty power, keep DD, Harpers got the pop but has a bigger attitude than Machado & will not be cheap. Gotta extract Gian-K-arlo; send him packing at the Winter Mtgs....
    Come home Jim Abbot...

Greinke had his best season in LA, he'd be fine. Especially if he was coming over with two team-mates - Corbin and Goldy.

Happ will probably turn 37 next year, Greinke I think 36, Corbin 30. Bad gig loading up the staff with late 30 somethings.

Cone joined the Yankees at age 32, El Duque at 33. Clemens was the old man at 37 then found out to be on "rocket fuel"
