My grandson plays classic soccer for Eastside Timbers and I was at his game last night and had a lady approx? 40 heard me say the teams exercised great sportsmanship after the game, which impressed me.
Well, she said that word doesn't work anymore in our society it sportship. I said no mam that word is perfectly ok for me to use Im sorry if it offends you but don't let it worry you it,s not dangerous. She then said don't use mam, called me an asshole and walked off. wow

Again, those that preach tolerance are the least tolerant OF ALL.

She reminded me of the women that would let the guy in w/o a keycard.

I'd be on video right now for saying "is cunt acceptable?"

    It is just a question

I would have told her she should work on her doggers.

Which is manners for people like her.

This probably isn't the right place for it, and I'm placing it for humor value more than anything, but the OP story reminded me of this. I mean, of all the ills in the world, of the really messed-up stuff going on, we have to worry about "sportsship"? And "ma'am" being pejorative?

It’s getting a bit crazy when you get attacked for using common English words. Sometimes I think the whole hu-person race is totally messed up. Maybe I’ll just go pull the lid off of a person-hole and climb right in.

So this person should be mocked because she didn't protest the things you think she should have protested?

That doesn't make a lot of sense. So we don't like that a lady told Hoopguru which words to use but you feel it's appropriate to tell someone else which things they should protest.

She can protest whatever she wants to in a legal manner, and I didn't do anything except post a picture. Bully for her. Don't pin ulterior motive on me.

I tried (apparently unsuccessfully) to, through humor, point out my incredulity that, of all the shit that's happened on earth in her 73 years on it, Donald Trump's Presidency (not even a specific issue of it, just that he is President) is the first thing she's felt strongly enough to protest--and how the concept of "Sportsship" and "ma'am being bad" reminded me of it.

If you understand her position (or the OP's) with it we disagree, but whatever, man.

Sadly, I’m not the least bit surprised....and I expect it to only get worse. Over 20 years ago I coached BG’s all star baseball team (11 and 12 year olds). We didn’t have a particularly talented team but we were very competitive. What I was most proud of is that we won the Sportsmanship Award in most of the tournaments we participated in. And I thought the parents would appreciate that their little sluggers were setting a good example. I could not have been more wrong. A few days before the state tournament I was called before the local league board and told that I had not tried hard enough to win, that I was being too fair with playing time and that the parents were complaining that sportsmanship awards were for losers. I was then offered the opportunity to step down prior to the state tourney so a more competitive parent could take over. Longer story shorter......I basically told them to go f**k themselves (ala Marzy) and to take legal action if they wanted me gone. I then finished out the season. But to this day I’m still disgusted that adult human beings could take that kind of stance towards a child’s game. And I can only hope I set a better example for those kids than their own effed up parents did. No wonder this country is in the toilet.....

The picture you posted is clearly mocking that lady. Which there is nothing wrong with that.

    But...

through humor, point out my incredulity that, of all the shit that's happened on earth in her 73 years on it, Donald Trump's Presidency

I can think of many reasons why someone didn't protest the things pointed out in that picture and that you agree with.

Maybe she worked and raised her children.

Maybe she was in a career or occupation like the military that wouldn't have approved of her protesting.

Or maybe she isn't a liberal, there are conservatives that don't like Trump.

Again, there are many reasons why this lady hasn't protested until now. To make or spread mocking assumptions only helps to destroy constructive discourse.

She should be mocked for wearing Rajneeshee colors.

    And maybe the hat.

She has to be a liberal to have protested Jim Crow? She didn't care about civil rights because she had kids?

Saying yes ma'am was a sign of being respectful.

So only people who protested cared about civil rights?

Since you don't protest that means you care about nothing?

Maybe a person who is retired has more time to protest?

You think referring to her as the operator of a brothel is respectful? Sheesh.

Or maybe her husband is off sailing around on his boat and she is finally free to do what she wants?

This has nothing to do with the OP. This is an attempt to mock liberals.
