Francois, Murray rally Seminoles past Louisville, 28-24

Florida State coach Willie Taggart wasn't expecting Louisville to throw the ball late. Neither was Seminoles defensive back A.J. Westbrook.

But Louisville, up three with the ball at the Seminoles 21 and the clock running under 2:00, did just that, and Westbrook, a senior safety, stepped in front to get the interception his team desperately needed. Five plays later, Deondre Francois connected with Nyqwan Murray on a 58-yard touchdown pass with 1:13 left to give the Seminoles a wild 28-24 come-from-behind victory Saturday.

Willis leads Virginia Tech to 31-14 upset of No. 22 Duke

Virginia Tech's offense hummed right along with backup quarterback Ryan Willis. The defense barely resembled the leaky group that took the blame for a humiliating loss.

There wasn't anything wrong with these Hokies that another trip to Duke couldn't fix.

Willis threw for 332 yards and a career-best three touchdowns in his first start for the Hokies, helping them upset No. 22 Duke 31-14 on Saturday night.

Former Clemson running back C.J. Fuller dies at 22

Former Clemson running back C.J. Fuller has died at the age of 22, the school confirmed Wednesday night.

"Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies are with C.J.'s family," Tigers coach Dabo Swinney said. "I've known C.J. a long time and watched him grow up through the Easley rec leagues [in South Carolina] all the way through Easley High School. I'm proud of what he accomplished as a Clemson Tiger, most of all his accomplishment of being a Clemson graduate. Our deepest condolences and the thoughts of our program are with his family this evening. May he rest in peace."

Clemson did not give a cause of death. The Pickens County coroner in South Carolina told The State newspaper that results of an autopsy will take six to eight weeks.

Marshall, Georgia Tech run all over Louisville 66-31

Earlier this season, Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson decided to make a change.

After Johnson's Yellow Jackets walked out of Louisville with a 66-31 victory Friday night, it might be time for the Cardinals to make some changes, too.

No. 23 NC State holds off Boston College 28-23 to reach 5-0

North Carolina State went from dominating Boston College on both sides of the ball to frittering just about everything away -- first momentum, then nearly all of a big second-half lead -- in a suddenly close finish.

And yet, the 23rd-ranked Wolfpack stayed unbeaten.

Comeback for the ages: No. 17 Miami stuns FSU, 28-27

At Miami, this will be The Comeback.

At Florida State, this will be The Collapse.

N'Kosi Perry threw four touchdown passes, and No. 17 Miami pulled off its biggest comeback ever against Florida State by rallying from 20 points down midway through the second half to top the Seminoles 28-27 on Saturday night.

NC State badly out-matched in 41-7 loss at Clemson

NC State has had problems with slow starts early in the season and as it turns out, when those slow starts come against elite teams, the repercussions are far more dire. Clemson scored a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter, with little resistance to speak of, and cruised to a 41-7 win.

Florida State pulls away to knock off Wake Forest

Cam Akers hasn't had much to smile about a year after rushing for 1,000 yards. Florida State's offensive line hasn't been able to open up as many rushing lanes and the sophomore has struggled.

    That changed on Saturday.

Akers had two touchdown runs, including a 58-yarder, and Deondre Francois threw for a season-high 353 yards as Florida State bounced back from a sloppy start and scored 38 straight points in a 38-17 win over Wake Forest on Saturday.

ACC Rout: No. 3 Clemson tops No. 16 North Carolina St 41-7

Trevor Lawrence came in wanting to leave little doubt about No. 3 Clemson's championship goals this season and about his ability to take the Tigers there.

He accomplished both Saturday in a 41-7 rout of No. 16 North Carolina State, helping Clemson dominate the showdown between the Atlantic Coast Conference's last remaining undefeated teams.

Oliver, Yellow Jackets run all over Hokies 49-28

Tobias Oliver's first career start at quarterback went better than even he could have expected.

Georgia Tech's backup ran for 215 yards and three touchdowns and the Yellow Jackets ran all over Virginia Tech for a 49-28 victory on Thursday night.

Levy runs No. 24 Boston College past Virginia Tech, 31-21

Travis Levy went from a lightly used backup to the focal point of No. 24 Boston College's run-first offense, and he responded by running the Eagles into one of their biggest games in years.

Taking over after star AJ Dillon tweaked an ankle injury, Levy for ran 75 yards and two touchdowns as Boston College beat Virginia Tech 31-21, setting them up for a huge home game against No. 2 Clemson next week.

NC State snaps 2-game skid, rolls past Florida State 47-28

North Carolina State corrected many of the problems that had plagued the Wolfpack during two straight losses, namely by getting off to a fast start and running the ball well.

As for Florida State, there was no such strong response -- only a second straight lopsided loss that inched the Seminoles closer to the end of decades-long streaks of success.

Freshman Ricky Person Jr. scored three touchdowns while Jakobi Meyers had a big receiving day to help the Wolfpack beat the Seminoles 47-28 on Saturday, making the Wolfpack bowl eligible for the fifth straight year.
