Look, do you ever wonder why you have so much trouble in here? At the minimum I see it as being incredibly misleading. Again, at the minimum, I see it as being the result of being very very confused and hence, extremely unclear.

 

You are really gonna stand firm on this one? I have never said this forum has antifa members in here. That’s incredibly stupid. The ideas though can be far left. That’s much different than antifa.

I have trouble in the OT section because my opinions do not align with the left. They don’t align with the right. The issue is people assume. If you don’t believe what others do here, you are the right. This OT section has become incredibly political and everything has become right or left in here unfortunately. I’m not confused at all. Seems you are.

Example “A” would be where i was trying to discuss the homless problem on the east side and was going well until out of the blue i was told im fucking clueless because someone was fixated on a few small pockets of nice neighborhoods that dont have homeless issues.

This person fixated on three little pockets instead of asking me where i see them or discussing with me our difference of opinion.

The problem is some of the same people who are guilty of this are praised for thier behavior on this site and are treated like golden children and if you disagree with that person, half the forum then defends this person and makes it sound like the issue is all on the person who was called fucking clueless.

Not one person, mod or other, stepped up and told him that was wrong. Why? Because in the biased eyes of some, this person can do no wrong.

So yeah i have reached my breaking point with some who cant converse maturely around here aNd having the same people be glorified by the rest of the forum.


I know if i told someone else they were fucking clueless out of the blue as i entered a convo, i would have been chastised. But somehow this person gets away with it regularly and not one person says a word.

I stepped up and mentioned the growing homeless population moving towards the multi-use path along the I-205 corridor. Do I have statistics backing it up? No. However, I run along there every day, so I can at least tell you my observations.

 

Posting that someone is clueless is a bannable offense from a thread. I found out first hand when I posted that a poster was clueless (such an awful word I guess) where as a poster that I have had issues with mocked my mother who passed away way to young at 61 and I was 37 and claimed my mother was locked up at Universal Studios trying to escape from the Walking Dead set at Universal Studios and that clown was only edited. It's not the one way street you claim it to be.

 

I was one that was in that discussion and what OB may have forgotten is that nobody said homelessness doesn't exist in Portland, but OB portrayed the picture as it's rampant on almost every corner on the east side. Yes it still exists, but I have also seen improvement over the past year or so and often when they try and set up on a street within a few days they are usually moved along.

Besides i dont see the forum treating you like a golden child.

I dont want to get into the details of the differences of opinion about the homeless issue. My issue is with how one aproches a convo with thier opinion, aNd starting out by saying someone else is fucking clueless is just wrong and doesnt work on so many levels. Especially when there has been a history of conflict between the two entities.

You were banned from a thread. Yet a golden child of this forum said the samecthing and im pretty sure its still ip and not one person mod or other scolded him or banned him mfrom the thread.

This is exactly proving my point that you were treated differently than someone else who did the same thing.

 

Assumptions can get a person in trouble, but my pet peeve is those posters that constantly play the victim and then will even make a post complaining about being a victim.

 

The way I see it though is that it's more random rather than allowing some special privileges. There is one particular poster I shall keep nameless at the time that has been friends with Sly way back in the days of OL and has even visited him at his home, but the poster has been one of the biggest abusers of posting in the forum and sly has warned him many times and deleted many of his posts and yet the guy continues and then even whines about it in the open forum.

 

Fair enough.

There is certainly a history of friendship amongst some long time members but those friendships shouldnt dictate who gets away with more or not.

The problem lies in this, combined with insults being somewhat opinion based.

There is definitely not much consistency when it comes to moderating a specific offence when it comes from different entities.
Your post about clueless is a perfect example.
some people can get away with things while others may not, aNd it could be random, but i think its more a judgement call based on friendships and having history that has provided time to get to know one another.

That needs to be taken Out of the equation.
Its the only way to have blanket rules aNd enforce them evenly.

Either have to let all insults go or enforce them the same regardless of personal friendships providing an opinion that its a friendly jab vs an insult. As long as this gray area is permitted, there will be people confused and led astray as to what is acceptable aNd what is not and this will lead to further conflict.

Im sorry if the growth if this forum has provided enough newer members that some of the old school “fams” members think this forum has been ruined because they dont feel like thier circle runs things around here anymore aNd they are now being held accountable for thier statements like everyone else here.

If they dont like it then go start some private fams forum. This is an nba blazers forum. Not some private clique forum that has been infiltrated by the devils.

This forum was ruined the moment some people tried to make it about them having thier good time ruined because others wanted some equality around here.
