How dare they attack an innocent American like this. They should have just closed the door in the guy's face like I do with the different religious groups that knock on my door. https://www.wweek.com/news/2018/11/...hen-he-tried-to-reach-a-remote-indian-island/
SMH. The people on that island are known for their xenophobia and have killed intruders before. There is also the small matter that he was breaking the law by going there. WTF is wrong with some people that they think they can just do whatever they want without consequences?
Chau's body is still on the island, according to Indian authorities. Indian law protects the Sentinelese from outside contact and has made it difficult to prosecute crimes committed on the island. "The British colonial occupation of the Andaman Islands decimated the tribes living there, wiping out thousands of tribespeople, and only a fraction of the original population now survive. So the Sentinelese fear of outsiders is very understandable," Stephen Corry, the director of tribal protection organization Survival International, said in a statement from the group.
So you all approve of their fatal version of Trump's Wall? We should just slaughter anyone who tries to sneak in? Not that that's a bad thing, just trying to get a head count here so we all know where we really stand.
I invite them all in and pepper them with questions. They soon grow exhausted and never come back. I don't have to be rude or blunt. I sought out the Church I was interested in and now receive guidance that I find to be truly Christian, this includes welcoming others with differing views and backgrounds. Our Church welcomes all. We are also not pushy and believe that our religion is separate from our politics.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-missionarys-body-could-lost-battle-preserve-isolated-082315515.html The body of a missionary who died after being shot with arrows upon trespassing on an island that houses a tribe who is protected from the outside world, may never be recovered. Officials may leave his body there so they don't disturb the tribe.
The islanders were practicing Trump's vision of how immigration law should work. Why would you expect him to equate the two cases? Or is this an admission that Trump believes writing something the government doesn't like is a capital crime?
Pretty simple. The Consensus is, we should not intervene in why or how those people enforce their border laws. Then I think it follows, we should not intervene in how they enforce any of their laws. Perhaps we should take a stand off view with most nations? At least until it becomes an issue of our national interest. Nothing really to do with Trump. More for the members of the forum to consider for consistency.
Protecting journalists IS in our national interest. As is protecting residents of the US, and employees of US companies. barfo
Well it is your right to form an opinion. However, I doubt you can drum up a consensus to avenge the resident in the story. I think you will be in a tiny minority.
