One of the things I was looking forward to was watching road games at bars with locals. Unlike in NYC where I’m the only one watching Blazers. So what the fuck? I went to Spirit of ‘77 and they were just showing football. I called Marathon Taverna and they were also just showing football. As a result, I missed the first quarter. Where do I go watch games with Blazers fans? I’m disappointed in Portland for this.

It always disappoints me when the transplant working at the bar doesn't automatically put the blazers on.

On-Deck in the Pearl district is decent, and in a good location close to the street car. The Cheerful Tortoise is pretty close to you. Their sister pub The Cheerful Bullpen is right next to Providence Park, and close to The Marathon. It's a dive, but they will have the game on. Food is pretty basic, must serve food by law to maintain liquor license, pub grub. Blitz is a popular place with tons of TV's.

I’ve found a lot of places that show games but have yet to find a place with great fan atmosphere.

I stop at Marathon for games after work. They have a big tv and decent food.
