Would have to agree with @dviss1 on Sheed. He would be a monster at the 4 on this team. He wasn't as good as he could have been if he had MJ's drive, but his defense and shooting would be amazing in this lineup. I would add him to a short list of guys who could really help Collins.

I’m with you on most things, but to say that people who hate him are probably racist is a little much, no?

Just for the record, I was a fan of his.

AI was an overrated ballhog who only scored a lot because he chucked the ball anytime he wanted. He actually shot a very low percentage.

And I couldn't stand Sheed because he was a jerk. I'm not sure that makes me racist.

Sheed is a NBA champion. AI is not.

So you think Rasheed Wallace would be a "Monster" on this team? Exactly what makes you think anything at all would be any different? Wallace is Wallace.

Which was fantastic for the most part. Yeah, he was a loose cannon. Yeah, the team was only as good as his emotions were on any given day. But when things were right with Sheed, we were a stone's throw away from a title. And he proved that was no fluke in Detroit, instantly putting them over the top.

Memory always softens with time. Even more so with people who were not at the games.

I have watched probably 90% of Blazer games in the last 25 years or so... My memory’s of sheed were that of an extremely talented basketball player. He was skilled, on both ends. Thats the good.
He also could be volatile, even when he wasnt getting t’d up or ejected he could allow his emotions to get the best of him, or get him off of his game. Would I say he’s one of the best Blazers ever? No. Maybe one of the most talented though. He lacked composure, he lacked things emotionally, and the drive to compete at the highest level to push himself. It wasnt about if he could play, but whether how much desire he had.
I am respectful of your opinion on sheed, but as you say others may have softened on sheed, it is also possible that you didnt like him then and have hardened on him.
He did go to Detroit fit in well, and win a championship and played a role in going to like 5 ECF’s in a row, maybe 6?

You don’t think he helped Detroit?
