I’m not really informed on the situation with Orion bailey but I will say, part of the reason I hardly check this board any more is because most treads end up with people complaining that it should be in this thread or that thread. Who cares?
Isn’t this board for discussing specific topics? Someone gets injured in a game, does that have to ONLY be discussed in that game thread? People try way too hard to throw their wait and seniority around here. It’s quite pathetic really...

I also see people complain when posters put things up like trade rumors and they get responses like “why even post this garbage from this garbage writer”.

That even goes for articles by local writers. If you don’t like those guys, tough shit. You don’t need to complain about their articles being posted in here. This is a blazer message board that covers blazer related topics.

I see some points to keeping some things within a certain thread to not clutter up the first page, but I am in the I don't care camp.; I just find it completely hilarious as I mock some people, I get grilled for it, but when someone else does what I do, they get praise for it.

    Cracks me up.

And Ill add to this.... Don't read it. Move on to the next thread you want to read. I meaan, Posting in a thread that the thread shouldn't have been created is only extending the thread you didnt want, right????????

I'm with ya @blazedanugz I just find it hilarious that no matter which side I post on, i'm in the wrong with some folks here. :)

But if I had to actually make a decision about it, I would side on the free speech side. Let people post what they want(for the most part). Doesn't mean we have to read it.

In the CHI Bulls game Jan 9, the Blazer Centers combined for about 31 points. Nurk scored 18, Meyers scored 8, and counting one-third of Zach's points (based on Nurk and Meyers added min were 40, leaving 8 at C for Zach) as 5. Although less than the 35+ that I estimate would achieve >70% probability of a win against top teams, this was enough for the 124-112 win.

This was a good game for Zach, who scored 16 points with 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block in 26 min. This was another poorly reffed game and Zach fouled out. In fact, the officials were unprofessional in a number of calls and no calls, especially in phantom calls against Zach, Nurk, Meyers, Seth, and no calls when there were highly aggressive fouls by the Bulls on Dame, Nurk, Chief, CJ, Seth, Meyers, Zach, and others. The grab of Meyers right arm by Markkanen looked like a flagrant, but was not called, and the lob pass to Meyers was disallowed incorrectly as a goal tend (if it was correct, most of the exciting lob pass baskets made in the NBA would not be counted). Dame had no free throws in the 1st half. I estimate that he should have 6 more in the game. The game thread had multiple posts about the incompetent refs. Let's see if the Blazer coaches can manage to get a professional officiating crew in action for future games.

This was an excellent passing game for the Blazers with 28 assists and 56 points scored by the bench.

Why did the Blazers only score 17 points at the Center position (Nurk plus Meyers) against the SAC Kings Jan 14? This was a bad game for Nurk who had only 6 points and made many mistakes in his 29 min, but that is the reason that Meyers should have playing at least 5 more min in the 2nd half, continuing his hot hand shooting (3 of 4 swish3s and 4 of 5 FG), excellent assist passing, screens, rebounds, and defense.

When Nurk was clearly having a problem game, Blazer coaches should have responded by recognizing that Meyers was having a good game and continuing his hot scoring and stronger play. Instead, Blazer coaches took Meyers out of the game (not to return) 2.5 min after he make his 3rd swish3, got a steal, a great offensive rebound, and made an assist, giving away the chance for the win. Meyers should have been in with Seth in place of CJ to provide swish3 shooting and relieve the pressure on Dame. This choice might have added the 9 points that would have won the game.

On a good night, like the CHI Bulls Jan 9 game, Blazer Centers should be contributing 30-35 points as is the point of this thread. Even when Nurk is struggling, there should be at least 25 points and playing through the Center to facilitate passing, assists, and open shot opportunities that increase FG% and scoring. Nurk has shown his best at shooting from near the basket, pick and roll plays with Dame, assist passing, rebounds, and excellent defense. Meyers is at his best when shooting at least 3 swish3 attempts (4-6 would be even better!), dunks, screening, assists, rebounds, defense, and hustle on every play. It is especially when Nurk is sagging that Blazer play would improve by calling on Meyers for more min and to keep shooting and scoring.

It does not make sense to bench the Blazer with the hot hand a few min after scoring his 3rd swish3 and 11th point in 19 min when he is playing better than Nurk (which substitution was a gift to the Kings). With more strategic coaching decisions, we can win games like this one over the SAC Kings, DEN Nuggets, GS Warriors, TOR Raptors, and others. Onward to the Championship!
