What y'all fail to understand is that the wall PREVENTS this. It prevents what's called Circular Migration.
This statement is full of ignorance. Our farmers NEED them. You gonna pick beans? Cut Christmas trees? Process Lettuce? Do you like Lettuce?
You're going to have to pay a hell of a lot extra if you don't want migrant farm workers picking your produce.
Nearly 25% of Canada's workers are immigrants. https://www.cicnews.com/2017/11/imm...kforce-new-data-shows-119895.html#gs.LnYAoNuv
These are usually legal immigrants. They don't have a border where a 3rd world country and people run across. I know there are tons of filipino nurses in Canada. Its skilled labor.
Show me the figures. There are tons of Filipino nurses in the U.S. I've got three that I know of, that take care of me at the VA here in Portland.
All my relatives move there first because they cant get to the US as easily. http://www.inscol.com/philippines/b...n-canada-nursing-programs-for-filipino-nurses
I don't know how much you know about dairy farming but you have to milk the cows 2 times a day, 365 days a year. No holidays/no vacations. It's so labor intensive the most Oregon dairy farmers (and I'm assuming in other states) provide housing on site so their laborers are always available for work at a moments notice. They're basically "on call" 24 hours a day. It's grueling minimum wage work and, in Oregon, there's even a little loop hole in the labor law that allows you to work your farm laborers more than 10 hours/day, 40 hours/week without paying any OT. But you enjoy you're $20 gallon of milk!
