Ehhh, I'm not sure how good they'll actually be. Dallas is pretty locked into their roster now and owes picks for 3 of the next 5 years so it may be tough to add a ton around them. Not impossible but far from a guarantee factoring in the health of Porzingis.

Not really. That is why I am saying they are starving for it. Great intelligent fan base with nothing to cheer for.

Marc Cuban and the Mavs front office isn't afraid to take a risk like the Blazers front office is.

Well it's fishy they released all that early this morning about the meeting and then all of a sudden a deal is ready to go and announced hours later. I think this was planned, and I don't think there was a meeting. New York thinks they can sign two big max players to pair with their probable top 3 pick in the draft

Am I the only one that thinks Klay is overrated? I think he has good and obviously seen some of his insane games but it's always emphasized just how many dribbles he took while getting 40 or whatever it might be. He is an all star on the Warriors sure but I think if you took Klay and made him the first or second option on a team, his numbers fall. Not drastically but enough to consider him just a good player and not all star caliber

when he signed Wes Mathews he proved that...he gave him a stupid contract for a guy coming off that injury...Now he got Porzingas coming off a serious injury...it's a theme ...Dallas is a huge market...different scenario...

Vonleh is the leader in the frontline! Especially if Deandre Jordan leaves this summer, it's Vonleh's team.

I really hate that statement that a team is willing to take "risks" and that makes them better.

I can't argue that they won a title (not really by taking risks but that's a different argument). However they decided to break up that title team. How has that risk turned out? Since winning the title they've only made the playoffs 4 out of 8 years with all 4 appearance resulting in a 1st round exit. We'll see how this one turns out.

Random thought about TNT or other highlight coverage. Saw the question about local coverage versus espn. Was watching TNT tonight saw the guys doing the usual laughing and messing around but when it came time to look at the highlights with Lebron and the Lakers they all became attentive and did not miss a chance to chime in on how he made awesome plays and was so integral in the first half of the game even though he only scored 5 points in the first half. Do you think they do that because they are told to pump up the Lakers? Or is it just them trying to suck up to their perceived only superstar in the league? Kind of makes me not want to watch their halftime and post game shows. Just seems so obvious.

The NBA markets STARS not teams. The biggest star is LeBron, hence they will shill whatever team LeBron is on.

Some of my least favorite fans in the league. I remember them booing KP at the draft in New York. Their own pick, straight up booing him. No wonder he got the fuck outta there.

Well you also watched and listened to Barkley totally blast the future Davis Trade to the Lakers and he railed to have Silver veto the trade if it happens. So maybe not?
