Nurkic in the high post is a great fit for Layman because Nurkic is a very willing and capable passer to cutters and Jake is very good at cutting behind the defense. That's especially true if that action can be ran with the Dame/Nurk PnR as the pivot point of a possession

Man. I'll tell you one thing. When Nurk and Aminu were out there yesterday, I don't know what they had for dinner, but they teamed up perfectly.

...has become my favorite player to watch. Gonna pick up his jersey at the next game. If we fucking trade him i will quit!!!!

Unless he nets us a superstar, then i will silently weep in a corner for an evening and then get over it. ;)

This kid is so exiting to watch. The energy. The positivity. The movement. The hops!!!
That smooth stroke. He is turning into what i had hoped batum would turn into. A hustle player who actually HUSTLES!!!!!

Jake needs his own stumptown commercial now!!!!

Everyone jump on the Layman Train!!!! B

Then he'll leave this summer in free agency when the Nets offer him $12 million a year and the Blazers won't want to pay the tax necessary to keep him.

I have this thing where if I buy a jersey the player is gone within a couple years. I sure hope that doesn't include ones I won on RC2, fuck! Anyway, you might want to save yourself some hassle and just order a custom Layman Nets jersey.

LOL, fine but I'm not the GM who failed to save any money this summer to make signing him more realistic.

For crying out loud, you are wanting to ban Olshey the guy that drafted Jake, that you all are slobbering over.
Let these guys do their job for the rest of season, then evaluate them or fire them or trade them. Just whipping you crap!

Love that he drafted Layman. Unfortunately it sucks where our cap is due to 2016. That he spent over $220,000,000 on Turner, Harkles, Leonard and Crabbe boggles the mind!

We don't have to clear space to keep Jake. We should clear space, but we don't have to.

Since nothing significant was done at the trade deadline I fully expect a trade on Draft Day. We will package our pick with some combo of Turner/Harkless/Meyers/and maybe one good player/asset (whether that's CJ, Collins, Simons, or Jake depends on what's coming back). I believe we could even package Aminu's expiring contract on Draft Day?

Nope, we can't trade Aminu now or Jake. Anyone who's contract expires is now untradeable.

Teams don't have cap space at the draft because it's still based on this year's numbers and the teams that will have cap space on July 1st aren't going to waste that space on our crap before free agency starts.

Once again our best hope is having teams strike out in free agency that would be willing to take on expiring deals to punt their cap space to 2020. But at that point getting the Full-MLE might be pointless since all the good free agents would likely already be signed.

You are correct about Layman, but what if they lose in the 1st round and Jody says she doesn't want to be in the tax next year? It would take a miracle to salvage that.
