This deserves its own thread - how did this happen?

This is where Nurk should've gotten a few plays ran through him on the block.

Kanter would be a possible answer here just to get a few quick points to end the drought and help swing the momentum.

Aminu/Harkless as the starting forwards don't help much either. Both are absolute liabilities on the offensive end. This, at the very least, is 100% on Olshey.

Blazers are losers. Watch them fall out of the playoffs.

Even if they get the 3rd seed, they'll get swept in the first round.

These things happen. We are not a top team. Bring down those expectations and youll feel a lot better

Stotts should be fired, thought he could win by keeping the game going rather than call a timeout, even with all the momentum on the Mavericks side. What a terrible coach. The worst Portland has had.

We pulled a similar stunt against the spurs but we won. Team sucks and should have fired stotts and traded CJ after that last playoff performance. You are getting the same team from the past few years.

When did you want him to call a time out? Mavs called one at 6:40 and then Terry called one at 5:10.

    No they arent.

Same loser team that got eviscerated last playoffs (well, last several playoffs).

The fix is trading CJ and firing stotts

He has asked for help for years and Olshey had sat on his thumb.

I mostly like Terry as a coach, but his complete refusal to call a timeout at the end of games to set up a play infuriates me. Phil Jackson could do that, but he had Kobe and Shaq. Dame and CJ ain't that.

    It's coaching malpractice.

Nonsense. Olshey got him enough talent to beat the Mavericks. It's on Stotts to get the W. Not Olshey. We have as much talent as most teams, if not more. Nobody put a gun to Stotts' head to start Harkless and Aminu, contracts be damned. Hood and Layman should be getting the majority of the PT.

What big moves has Olshey made to Dame's request?

Explain to me how Layman outplayed Harkless tonight? Yeah he had 4 more points, but fewer boards, steals, blocks. Layman did have more assists, but also had more turnovers. What did Jake do that was so much better then Moe? Moe playes good defense, Jake does not.
