Add in the fact that we had a very passionate owner who recently died. No way the they allow the team to move anywhere in the near future.

What I gathered on the story was basically " water boiling on the stove is hot" and the headline read " Man burned alive inside House" you read the story and the only bit of information that I did not know was that the lease on the Blazers to the city is good until 2023 and it is lucrative enough that whoever buys it would keep the Blazers there until the lease ends.

Someone remind me. I know Paul owned the Rose Garden - but does he or the city own the land it sits on?

A new owner might be more willing to buy and then abandon the building if he could redevelop the land; less willing if it's a total loss.

Not that I actually think that will happen, until/unless Portland gets a new, better place for the blazers to play.

The Blazers will be sold at some time, most likely to some power movers in Portland and surrounding areas. The Blazers are one of the few teams that sell out and have over 90% fan occupancy each year . Makes the most sense to keep them in their beloved city. Now Memphis, who has one of the worst fan bases as far as ticket sales and showing up to games is, to me, the best for relocation. They play in front of a half empty arena on a regular basis. Vegas while hot with the NHL, and soon , the Raiders is a much smaller market. Football won't have a problem selling out due to the fact opposing teams will fill out the stadium with their fans who desire a combo vacation. Don't see the NBA going to Vegas any time soon, unless there is expansion. Memphis to Seattle makes a ton of sense to me.

Nobody knows who's it is yet. My old boss lives in a comparatively tiny little 6 million dollar house just below it. He says the land has been owned by a trust for decades.

When it was being built I saw Frank Thomas at my gym which is a few miles away. He parked his big black Bentley in the front row.

I don't know if he could afford that place anyway unless he invested well and the trust would have had to been formed when he first started playing to be that old.

I think that was just a coincidence BUT since it has been finished I haven't seen him OR Jose Canseco at the gym again.

I also think it might be sitting on a huge garage... I need to get a job managing the car collection
