So we swapped out Baldwin/Stauskus/Swanigan for 2 guys who are bubble starters (4/5/6 in rotation men) and a better prospect fit for this team than Swanigan. How do you think this stacks up for us for the remainder of the season. OKC/HOU/UTA being our primary standings opponents the rest of the way out and us likely having to face one of them in the playoffs.
I hope Zach plays the 4 next to him to help cover for him defensively. This is what I'd do: Lillard (36) / McCollum (12) McCollum (23) / Hood (25) Layman (30) / Harkless (18) Aminu (28) / Collins (18) / Kanter (2) Nurkic (27) / Kanter (21) Stagger Dame and CJ again. Harkless and Collins help out Kanter defensively in the frontcourt. I think Hood is better guarding SGs too but Harkless could guard the better SG/SF on the bench unit and Hood could take the weaker of the two.
Even if you don't agree with it, you don't think a valid, reasonable argument can be made that Kanter is a better basketball player than Duckworth was?
Would that I had that kind of talent to accomplish that suggestion, but I do appreciate you believing in my abilities.
I think this is bigger than people realize. Enes WILL score the ball with the second unit that's for sure. Curry, Layman, Hood will all benefit with defenses collapsing to help on him.
