Re: Zards' 2007 NBA Mock Draft I know, it still is a little bit too early to make a mock draft, but I wanted to see what I was going to come up with. Making a mock draft is a lot harder than you think it is. 1. Portland Trailblazers select Greg Oden. 2. Seattle Supersonics select Kevin Durant.3. Atlanta Hawks select Mike Conley. 4. Memphis Grizzlies select Al Horford.5. Boston Celtics select Brandan Wright.6. Milwaukee Bucks select Corey Brewer. 7. Minnesota Timberwolves select Jeff Green. 8. Charlotte Bobcats select Julian Wright.9. Chicago Bulls select Joakim Noah. 10. Sacramento Kings select Yi Jianlian. 11. Atlanta Hawks select Spencer Hawes.12. Philadelphia 76ers select Al Thornton. 13. New Orleans Hornets select Nick Young.14. Los Angeles Clippers select Acie Law.15. Detroit Pistons select Javaris Crittenton. 16. Washington Wizards select Tiago Splitter.17. New Jersey Nets select Josh McRoberts.18. Golden State Warriors select Thaddeus Young. 19. Los Angeles Lakers select Rudy Fernandez.20. Miami Heat select Rodney Stuckey. 21. Philadelphia 76ers select Derrick Byars.22. Charlotte Bobcats select Marc Gasol. 23. New York Knicks select Sean Williams. 24. Phoenix Suns select Marco Belinelli. 25. Utah Jazz select Daequan Cook. 26. Houston Rockets select Ante Tomic.27. Detroit Pistons select Morris Almond. 28. San Antonio Spurs select Arron Afflalo. 29. Phoenix Suns select Marcus Williams.30. Philadelphia 76ers select Petteri Koponen.

Re: Zards' 2007 NBA Mock Draft Eh, everything makes general sense but it's impossible for me to make a mock right now.
Re: Zards' 2007 NBA Mock Draft Zards, as much as I don't like it, Thad Young probably won't go past the Hornets at 13. Plus I don't think the Lakers will gamble on Rudy Fer-unless Kobe is gone by then :shifty2:... <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BrewCityBuck @ Jun 1 2007, 04:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Eh, everything makes general sense but it's impossible for me to make a mock right now.</div>Yeah, its better to wait till after the workouts etc.
Re: Zards' 2007 NBA Mock Draft Why would New Orleans take Thaddeus Young? They need a SG badly. Who's their starting SG.. Devin Brown? That's pathetic. Nick Young would be great alongside of Chris Paul.

Thornton may be more talented offensively, but they still have the same body type and almost the same skill set. BPA does not always work out. Sometimes you need to draft on need, too. And the Hornets simply need a SG. I do not know how you can have Devin Brown as your starter. Drafting Nick Young at 13 would give New Orleans another above-average ball-handler alongside of Chris Paul in the backcourt, not to mention he knocks the mid-range jumper with consistency. Besides, finding PT for Thad Young at SF would be difficult. You still have Peja, Butler, Mason, and Simmons that all play SF, as well. However, at SG, you only have Devin Brown, and Rasual Butler also plays minutes at SG. Nick Young, no doubt in my mind, will become a better player than Devin Brown. Butler is just a shooter who picks his spot on the floor and waits for Paul to feed him the ball.

He can't play out on the perimeter. Thornton is an outstanding offensive player that can score in many different ways. Thornton has an outstanding mid-range game and also pretty reliable from the top of the key. Simmons is a freak athlete, but that's the only similarity they have. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Besides, finding PT for Thad Young at SF would be difficult. Re: Zards' 2007 NBA Mock Draft Cedric runs the floor pretty well for his size but that's the only comparison you can make to Thornton with him. Hopefully he can turn into a good shot blocker with his 7'4 wingspan, but the jury is still out on his offense.

But I do see what you mean by him guarding SF's, even though the NBA is a different game. Either way it goes, NOH won't be using him there.
Re: Zards' 2007 NBA Mock Draft conley jr. is way overrated. I doubt he'll be able to win w/o oden beside him.to hawks: DONT DRAFT BASED ON NEEDS... blazers did that w/ sam bowie. hey, we already had clyde drexler. we dont need michael jordan. no, the blazers wont trade to try and get conley

You don't know what team he's going to, what moves that team will make throughout his career, or how good they'll be.
