I kind of hope they keep McQuaid. Skjei isn't a moron when he plays with him. Probably wishful thinking a team takes Smith but he has played better of late.

Always been a Fast supporter but it's time for him to go. He will be a UFA soon. No reason to keep him. At worst Fontaine or Gettinger can fill his role down the line. Or maybe a player they get back in some of these deals. The expansion deal will be a pain in the ass. Thank God the contracts of Lundqvist, Staal, Smith and Shattenkirk are up if they are still here.

If they sign Kreider, Zucc or Hayes after this season, Gorton must make sure with the expansion draft coming up that nobody gets a NMC or NTC clause. Period.

Coyle to Boston, which could take them out of the Hayes mix.

Boston has little the Rangers would probably want. They are no longer a match here. Av's match up well. Dallas and San Jose as well.

Ottawa are dumbasses on the highest level. They have absolutely no clue what they are doing.

I wouldn't mind keeping McQuaid for a few more years, but Columbus seems to be interested and possibly willing to deal Milano. How about McQuaid and a 3rd for Milano and a 6th or so? Would give us another young guy in the system.

Hearing at least one team recently approached the Rangers about Lundqvist, but were told he's still not willing to waive no-move.

I think next year the Lundqvist trade possibities will really emerge if the team is headed for the lottery again. I could see him seriously considering it next Feburary. We will have another big DL with Kreider, Fast, Namest, Vesey, Shatt and maybe even Staal or Smith being able to garner something if one is not bought out.

I don't see a big dump next year as I expect us t challenge for the playoffs with the right additions. Don't think future captain Kreids is going anywhere. Lundquist could certainly go along with shattenkirk and namestnikov. Rangers love fast although wouldn't be upset if he went. I think quinn likes the way vesey plays and would be surprised to see him go.

I'd like to see them extend Kreider.

I'm surprised Ottawa didn't get more for Stone who already re-signed in Vegas. I would've thought a 1st along with a top prospect if he signed.

The prospect they got was a top prospect. He is a very talented defenseman prospect. They suck on defense and need all the help they can get.

Only three guaranteed 1st round picks were dealt this trade season (only one today). Makes the return for Hayes and Zucc look really good.

Now this summer we start phase 2 I think. Ton of cap space and five picks in rounds 1 & 2. Seven 1st round picks in the past three drafts (could be 8 if TB wins the cup). Let's roll.

Yeah i know Brannstrom was a great get but figured with Stone reupping they would have a stipulation for a 1st also. Vegas really made out well on the surface.

They paid out of their ass for him. They are going to have big cap problems soon.
