A little too done but otherwise very tasty looking.

Human, I suppose? Taste is a little gamey but the smell, wow, the smell.

This is what I imagined the barbecues were like at the Bush ranch.
Now, just give me some nice bbq sauce, a poor boy bun, some iced tea and some quality baked beans and you're in heaven.

I go to an annual event called Ribfest every year. My former boss and mentor is from North Carolina is the host and let me tell you, he and his amazing wife provide quite the spread. His smoker is so big it has to be towed behind his truck.

Im almost becoming. Vegitarian. I dont know why.

I love chicken salads and a good steak aNd shrimp, but what i also used to love, picking off a roast, A chicken breast sandwhich, anything mostly of non saturated meat... im not liking anymore.
I need it drowned in something or mixed up with other things for me to like it.

I used to come home and slice off the turkey breast and jsut eat it with a little mayo.
Now i need it in a salad or douced with gravy.

Not sure why, but the smell of many cooked meats is losing its appeal to me. Bacon withstanding. Lol.

    YES!

I guess that there are health reasons not to consume too much meat, particularly of the red variety, but my cholesterol numbers are fine and dandy.

My sister-in-law is one of those poor deluded souls who prefers vegetarian (with occasional fish or "social" chicken) because of concerns about the ethics of the animals' "suffering" or their lives not being valued. She does not appreciate it when I point out that she's just one 5 day survival training experience away from being willing to kill and consume just about anything that walks or wiggles and contains protein. She also looks askance at me when I point out that I am not nearly heartless enough to stop consuming animals bred for the food market. What exactly does she think will happen to those animals if the food market dries up because everyone has gone vegetarian? Farmers won't be breeding and feeding those animals, that's for certain.

I think I need a steak tonight. It's the only ethical thing to do.

Why would that be a problem for her (or anyone vegetarian)? Unless one believes that unborn cows have souls or some such?

Well, I think you’re taking this more seriously than I intended, but:

    1. The breeding stock is no longer necessary so off to the rendering plant or whatever.

    2. Presumably, farm animals are only found in zoos or on the properties of the few remaining barbarian carnivores.

    3. No cute little chicks, lambs, calves, etc. found in common agricultural areas for her to anthropomorphise over.
