@tlongII comments about things feeling like it happened "yesterday" got me thinking about what I do and don't remember. And weirdly my youtube "suggested videos" had the following video. I, for the life of me, had zero memory of that game or Clyde being tossed. In the 1990 playoffs I don't remember any road games cept game 6 against Phoenix and games 1 and 2 against Detroit. Weren't those games on Koin/CBS? What are some historical moments in Blazer history you've forgotten (not to be confused with memories you'd LIKE to forget)?
I don’t remember an arcade game, Dance Dance Revolution, and what it has of importance in Blazer history? Hmmmm
There was that one where that player did this and the official did that and that guy got tossed.... remember it like yesterday.
Still fun to go on YouTube and watching 80's and 90's games and be like, "Oh I forgot that guy played for us!"
I also refuse to remember that in early March of 2001, the Blazers had a record of 42-18, in the #1 seed spot of the Western Conference by 1.5 games, and was tearing up the league. Then they lost a horrible fucking game to the Vancouver Grizzlies which sent the team into a tailspin to finish the year 8-14, the #7 seed, and a first round sweep by the Fucking Lakers.
Anyone else remember Porter getting body slammed by Kevin Johnson ... and TP got called for the tech? I wonder if that ever made it on youtube.
I still think that retiring Clyde's jersey somehow cursed us. I'm not saying he didn't deserve to have his jersey retired but he was wanting to be remembered as a Houston Rocket at that point which is still a bit irritating. We signed Rod Strickland and Detlef Schrempf that day. Schrempf was awful. Strickland was okay but it messed up the chemistry for sure.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkk you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most strike worthy post I've seen since HCP started mentioning strikes all the time.
Buck Williams grabbing the clutch rebound against the Suns to send us to the Finals and the team pouncing on him while he rolls on the ground with the ball.
