No. 14 Texas Tech hits 16 3s in 91-62 win over No. 14 Kansas

Jarrett Culver made a layup, a fast-break dunk and a 3-pointer in less than a minute early on for No. 14 Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders were just getting started in an overwhelming victory over No. 12 Kansas, whose Big 12 title streak could be in serious jeopardy with only four games to play.

"They got on us early when we were up there, and didn't look back," Culver said. "That's what we did tonight."

Culver, the hometown player for Texas Tech, scored 26 points and was one of six Red Raiders to make multiple 3-pointers in a 91-62 victory Saturday night that gave them sole possession of second place in the Big 12 standings.

No. 15 KU tops No. 16 K-State 64-49 to maintain Big 12 hopes

Kansas got exactly what it needed after a humiliating loss at Texas Tech when the schedule produced a high-profile showdown with Big 12-leading Kansas State inside raucous Allen Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks took advantage of the opportunity, too.

Playing with a newfound sense of urgency, Dedric Lawson and the rest of the Jayhawks roared to a 64-49 victory over their biggest rival Monday night, flushing the memory of that lopsided loss to the Red Raiders while keeping alive their hopes of a 15th consecutive conference championship.

No. 11 Texas Tech shares Big 12 lead after 84-80 OT win

Texas Tech got an unexpected sneak peek at March Madness and found a way to survive against an Oklahoma State team that's playing for pride in a season of turmoil.

Davide Moretti had 20 points, including four free throws in the final 18 seconds of overtime, and the 11th-ranked Red Raiders escaped with an 84-80 win over the Cowboys on Wednesday night to move into a share of the Big 12 lead.

No. 11 Texas Tech wins 7th in row to stay atop Big 12

When Texas Tech guard Jarrett Culver wasn't getting much space to score early on, he got the ball to his teammates. He also had some big defensive plays for the 11th-ranked Red Raiders.

Culver had assists on three consecutive baskets before his second steal in that spurt led to the final field goal in an 11-0 run that got the Red Raiders started on a much-bigger spurt. They went on to win their seventh game in a row, staying in a tie for the Big 12 lead after beating TCU 81-66 on Saturday.

Wade, No. 16 Kansas State hold off Baylor 66-60

When Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year Dean Wade is at his best, there aren't very many better players in the country.

He was at his best Saturday night in the No. 16 Kansas State's 66-60 victory over Baylor, scoring 20 points on 9-of-15 shooting -- and looking healthy and confident again after dealing with a foot injury.

Oklahoma tops Kansas to end Jayhawks' run of Big 12 titles

It took more than half an hour for Kansas coach Bill Self to address the media after the Jayhawks' loss to Oklahoma.

He had plenty to address with his team first.

Kristian Doolittle had 24 points and 11 rebounds to help the Sooners roll past No. 13 Kansas 81-68 on Tuesday night and end the Jayhawks' run of Big 12 regular-season titles at 14 years.

No. 13 Kansas tops Baylor 78-70, stays undefeated at home

Cutting through Baylor's long zone defense, Kansas guard Ochai Agbaji came down with the ball in the low post double-teamed by a pair of Baylor defenders. The freshman quickly offloaded the ball to fellow freshman David McCormack, who slammed the ball home over the top of Baylor's Freddie Gillespie.

The dunk was an early indication of the day McCormack would have, as the young forward continues to grow into Bill Self's Kansas squad.

"He played terrific, I should have played him more. He was our best offensive player of the first half, and he made some good, strong moves," Self said. "The first move he had he didn't go to his left hand jump hook and ended up taking a good shot, but after that I thought he was really good."

Dedric Lawson scored 23 points, including 11 of 12 from the free-throw line, to help No. 13 Kansas beat Baylor 78-70 Saturday and stay undefeated at home.

No. 18 K-State beats Oklahoma 68-53, wins share of Big 12

    Check.

Stokes scored 19 points and No. 18 Kansas State clinched a share of the conference title with a 68-53 victory over Oklahoma on Saturday night.

No. 17 Kansas beats Texas 65-57 in Big 12 quarterfinals

Kansas took the first step toward redemption against Texas on Thursday night.

After the No. 17 Jayhawks failed to win a piece of the Big 12 regular-season title, ending their record streak of 14 straight crowns, they leaned on freshmen Devon Dotson and David McCormack in a 65-57 victory over the Longhorns in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.

No. 15 K-State beats TCU 70-61 in Big 12 quarterfinals

Kamau Stokes had just been hammered by TCU on the way to the basket, and Kansas State's senior guard was still lying face-down on the floor when a scratchy voice rang out inside Sprint Center.

"Make your free throws!" Wildcats coach Bruce Weber yelled.

    So much for sympathy.

Stokes made the first and clanked the second, but the Wildcats secured the rebound and Stokes buried a 3-pointer to atone for the miss. The four-point play allowed Kansas State to edge ahead, and the regular-season champs never trailed down the stretch in a 70-61 victory over the Horned Frogs on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.
