?

Would you rather have the 6th/7th Seed than the 5th, since it means we won't face GS in the 2nd Rd?

Poll closed Mar 17, 2019.
  1. Yes

    2.6%
  2. Yes, but I still want POR to try to win as many games as they can towards the best seed possible

    36.8%
  3. No, but I wouldn't be too disappointed to get the 6th or 7th seed instead of the 5th.

    2.6%
  4. No, I'd rather have 5th seed, so POR can have possible HCA against the 6-8th seeds in later rounds

    10.5%
  5. No, if POR is in the bottom half of Playoff seeding, it doesn't make much of a difference where, 5-8

    23.7%
  6. No, bring on the Warriors! The Blazers got nothing to fear.

Just poking some fun at @Natebishop3 for complaining about CJ having 0 assists.

The guy has amazing career numbers.. dude is a near 50-40-90 player for example Lillard never even cracked 40% from 3 before

CJ is pretty good basketball player but 2 things I don't like he short for a 2 guard that hampers him on the defense end and he over dribbles to get his shot off sometimes.

Actually, it is semantics. A max contract is 25%. Dame got 27.5%. So technically his contract is MORE than a max contract but also LESS than the extra 5% he could've gotten.

So I was correct as it wasn't the max that he was eligible for. It seems you are spinning it to try and justify it as a max contract. If player a is eligible for x million and takes less, then that's not a max contract for player a correct?

I wasn't taking any sides, just stating that it is in fact semantics.

When someone says he has a max contract they are correct. When someone says he took less than he could've they are also correct. That is in fact semantics.

No it wasn't. You're believing what you want to believe. Why on Earth would you trust HCP anyway?

As we know there are a multitude of max contracts which means they are making the max amount they are eligible for and are based on several variables such as years in the league, meeting required criteria etc. Lillard simply isn't making the max he was eligible for, thus not a max contract.

We will just have to agree to disagree. :abeer:

Thus semantics because he is making more than a standard max.

and yet, CJ has never had a season when he topped Dame, in TS% or points/FGA....or PER or FT Rate, or assists, or rebound rate, or winshares, or winshares/48 or box plus/minus, or real plus/minus, or value over replacment. And Dame has done all this while being the primary focus of opposing defenses, night in and night out, and CJ has been drafting off that for those "amazing numbers"

by the way, in terms of FT%, 84% is a long ways from 90%
