If you're a Lakers Hater, you will find this article very enjoyable. It's a bit long, but worth the read

Who is the guy who drafted Lonzo and traded DeAngelo and released Randall ... We all know, Magic is more flash than substance. Honestly ... what else did we expect?

Paul Allen always built patiently, chip by chip. The entitled Lakers and Knicks always look for a shortcut superstar signing.

Jerry Buss replaced Jerry West with amateur family management. When they do hire a non-family manager, it's always a former player like Kupchak or Magic, instead of a nondescript business pro like Whitsitt.

The Buss kids do everything the stupid way, and their father was the same.

This seems kind of a contrast to your normal posts. If Im not mistaken you really like Whitsitt (no shame in that) I liked him too. He was not one tonwait and build chip by chip though. Then we have NO, he likes the slow bake oven.

Whitsitt didn't follow the Lakers/Knicks method--have no depth, but try to sign the biggest name each summer and succeed once every 5 summers. Then wonder why that one guy can't make you win. Whitsitt (and all Paul Allen GMs) built depth, chip by chip. He didn't feel entitled.

Laker management thinks short-term like kids because the Busses are rich kids. Hire a business (i.e. non-player) pro and then stay hands-off.

Fair enough. I absolutely agree about the Lakers and Knicks.
