I’d like to keep Dame and CJ together as our backcourt duo. CJ is going to blow up soon. Hoping we see this happen during the playoffs.

With Kanter and Nurk, if we can keep this pair, I’m happy at Center - especially with Skal!

For the first time I’m going to say - let this cake bake!

CJ is nearing 28 years old. He's in his prime. He's not going to blow up soon. He is what he is.

Now Simons, on the other hand, has infinite potential. I think Simons will be significantly better than CJ before it's all said and done.

Ed’s doing great in Brooklyn. I wish him all the success in the world.

Ed is one of the Top 10 MVPs of the playoffs so far. He had a sensational game on the road yesterday.

Jesus dude. Players get better going into their 30s if they work hard. Fuck, Steve Nash didn't win MVP til he was 31. Dirk was well into his 30s when he stepped up his game and led his team to a championship. You know this stuff, don't you? You used to write about it. CJ can absolutely get better and I have confidence he will.

Did you read Enes tweet? Blazers games can't be seen in Turkey. How sad ...

Keep the band together. We have a contender when Nurk comes back - especially if Golden State breaks apart. Trading CJ is the worst idea ever.

Someone needs to get CJ under control though. CJ is not a bad player. He just has too many below 40% shooting games (or so it seems).

Wow. His press conference was great. He says Billy never said "Can't play Kanter."

I didn't say he couldn't get better. I said he won't "blow up."

"Blow up" would usually mean taking a huge step forward in skill, stats, whatever.

I think he can still blow up, esp on another team. He had triple double in game he played without Dame this season. I still want him on our team though.

That is the key - “esp on another team”.

CJ can and may improve but I don’t envision him “blowing up” until his role on the team changes. Even then it would probably be minor blow up rather than “what the heck” blow up.

    Gramps...

Seems like we should buy a billboard for Kanter now too!

we know he still has to be in a cast. Does anybody know if it's an above-the-knee or a below-the-knee cast? If it's above the knee, dealing with getting out and going to the Moda, dealing with the crowds would be a major undertaking. I mean, just going to the bathroom would be an ordeal

either way, I'd imagine he's still on crutches?

Enes Kanter reminds me so much of Zach Randolph; a garbage man offensive rebounder with range and a motor. What a great addition to the team in general, and perfect for the playoffs.

I'd venture to guess that they tend not to cast the femur when you break your tibia and fibula.

Why did the Lakers even want him? Their like the Knicks but West version? You would think more contenders like us would want him
