The Los Angeles Angels found themselves on the wrong side of three close losses to open their four-game series against the Seattle Mariners.

The Angels were able to turn the tables in the finale on Sunday, but not without a bit of trepidation late.

Tommy La Stella hit two home runs and the Angels held on for an 8-6 win over the Mariners on Sunday to end a six-game losing streak.

The Angels led 8-1 going into the ninth inning before Tom Murphycracked a two-run homer with one out off Noe Ramirez, and Dee Gordon immediately followed it up with a solo home run to right. Cody Allen gave up a two-run homer with two outs to Mitch Hanigerto pull within 8-6 before walking Domingo Santana to bring Edwin Encarnacion up as the potential tying run.
