I got the feeling from his post game conference last night that he really loves it here and I feel like he would stay with us even if it means less money. I mean, I could be wrong and a lot of time money talks, but he really seems to like the culture, the team, the coaches, and the fans here.
It depends on how much less money, and how many years. A short term contract leading to a better deal in the future might do it.
Even after we were up 2-0 he still was hyping up OKC, saying he believes they will still win the series because they have better stars. Now it's "Westbrook is the past, Dame is the future, I told you guys!"
It cracks me up how the sports media plays their cards to where they can always say they were right. Cowherd for example basically hates on WB all the time, but picked them to win easily. So win or lose he could create the narrative oh I knew they’d win or Ive been saying all along WB wasnt good!
