Hilarious. Vote for Romney...get RomneyCare. Elect Obama instead.....get RomneyCare. It is a corporate welfare. I'm officially in the Medicare for all camp. But.....it has to be passed at the same time as term limits.
First part is exactly right. Had Romney won we'd have passed the same ACA as Obama passed and republicans would be touting the same success Obama did. Now the 2nd part will ensure that Medicare for all will never pass. I'm against term limits. We already have those. They're called elections.
I'm pretty much recovered. The doctors were extremely well trained and very nice. We all listened to classic rock, the lead doctor's favorite music, during the operation. The Fentanyl made the music difficult to enjoy. It wasn't a pleasant rush. Can't take other pain meds except tylenol because of being allergic to them. That leaves Lydocaine and fentanyl. Can't even take Morphine. I hope I never need pain meds again, well, except for my daily dose of Tylenol for arthritis.
Give my best to Al Udeid. We go there for R&R, but it’s a “hardship deployment” for the Air Force. No lie.
I know all about Fentanyl. I did not enjoy it and I was given a very light dose. I will definitely not take it too often but when they have done this shit to my arm in the past it was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. No one likes to feel blood streaming down their arm and the pain caused by the incision and the endless rooting around inside. I'm trading hell for a cautious relief. There's no way I can be addicted. If I feel at all abnormal I will immediately tell my doctor. I've thought a lot about this. In the past when my mother-in-law was dying of cancer at home the doctor gave us a pint sized bottle of liquid morphine. She refused all of it. I would up flushing it down the toilet as I did the Oxycontin and similar narcotic pain pills that were making me extremely nauseous. Thanks for your concern. I appreciate it.
I know that now. Fortunately, no one gets their drinking water from either the Willamette or the Columbia from this point down. I now get my drugs disposed of once a year at a free event.
Have you tried CBD? I do not smoke pot. I don't like what the THC does to my mind/brain. HOWEVER, CBD in an edible form has been a lifesaver, when I've really needed it. Just a thought, that may help you....
It's still federally illegal. I remember when I went through an interview with the NSA for a security clearance I got told pretty harshly that my college days pot smoking might not only make me not get my clearance but that I might be convicted of a felony. Well, they never charged me with a crime and I got my clearance, probably over the objection of my interviewer. I have not done pot since college almost half a century ago. In addition, my wife will not tolerate it ever. Then there's the case of I've got CPOD because of both asthma and a paralyzed half of my diaphragm. Bringing in a foreign substance into my lungs just isn't good for me. I suppose if I had terminal cancer I might consider it. Edit: I seldom judge people for what they have done or do so I certainly wouldn't judge you on your choice. Being harsh with someone is almost always counterproductive, not that I don't blunder into it when I get caught up in the moment and don't think clearly.
This topic could be a massive thread on its own. If I use CBD, it's like I said- in an edible form. Gummys, taffy.... It's a huge grey area, since hemp has been legalized at the federal level, with the passage of last years Farm Bill. CBD can be extracted from hemp. The FDA still has their fingers in the mess. I suspect that will change soon. Like I said- I don't smoke pot, or use THC products. THC and CBD aren't the same. I wasn't saying to whip out a big reefer, like years back. CBD is now even approved by the FDA, in a medication. (Only one at the moment though...) Anyways, I was just trying to give you an option, that has helped me. Pretty good article from Consumer Reports, if anyone is interested..... Farm Bill Sets the Stage for Legal CBD Across the Country Farmers can now grow hemp, but regulatory questions about the cannabis compound remain https://www.consumerreports.org/cbd/will-new-farm-bill-make-cbd-legal-everywhere/
I've eaten my share of brownies. One time I ate some brownies and went to see the Groove Tube with a couple buddies. We also ate some brownies during the movie. At first I freaked out because it started like 2001 A Space Odyssey, but soon settled in to a lot of laughs. I think if adults want it so be it. That's their business. I was visiting my cousin nearly 50 years ago and a friend of his stopped by with his approx. 12 year old son. Soon a joint appeared and it was being passed around including the child. I just felt this was so wrong.
