I don't think it has to do with the refs not liking us or some big conspiracy against Portland, I just think they're bad at their job. I will say though that most of the guys on Portland are nice guys which can sometimes lead to people equating that with being soft which then means we can't get away with being as physical as other teams do that have the reputation of being tough.

My guess is the NBA has rightly figured out that while Portland might win this series, we'll get creamed in the WCF. As weird as it sounds, Denver may lose to us but they stand a better chance of avoiding a sweep against GS. The problems Jokic presents plus the altitude of Denver just seems like it'd present more problems, and lead to at least one or two losses for GS.

See, that makes zero sense to me. The reason for a 7 game series is to allow the better team to advance regardless of a 1 or two game loss because of a player going off or altitude change. If the Blazers advance it's because they are the better team and thus have a better chance of winning games moving forward.

Also, don't forget that Dame historically has had some of the best games of his career against the warriors. Dame can will the blazers to a W against the W's just as much if not more than Jokic. Last but not least, Portland's home crowd > altitude changes.

Yep.Totally agree. He hasn't done enough to be the kind of player to throw "Hate" at. He is doing everything he can to win a series and his team is basically riding him to death. For the most part it's pretty hard to hate the Nuggets in general.

    This is crazy talk.
The best team usually advances. The Blazers can compete against any team in the league right now.
Even more so because i fully expect the Rockets to even up that series. Injuries are starting to mount with every team in the playoffs. The Blazers have been hit hard already. The Warriors are starting to feel some injuries also.
By the way i really have a problem with the way they scheduled the Warriors vs Rockets. Pushing the Blazers to game three before the Warriors and Rockets is just weird?
It would be really sweet to get out of the series in 5 or 6 games again and have extra time off before playing in the next round. But lets just hope they can put the Nuggets away no matter how many games it takes.

Tonight one thing I going to look for is Denver loosing there legs on the 3 point shot. If they shot from the 3 point line like they did last game then there loosing there legs. The Spurs series might be catching up to the Nuggets this series.

I think part of the problem is that when our smaller players try to keep Jokic out of the paint it LOOKS more like a foul.

With Nurkic, he could apply the same force on Jokic but make it look easy and thus not appear to be a foul.

    Just a theory. :dunno:

Like I said earlier, Denver isn't a basketball town. They go crazy for the Broncos, have a strong Rockies following but the core of the Avs and Nugs fan base is small. For us (sorry Timbers), the Blazers are all we have. If the Nuggets don't win, they cast their eyes toward another team.

My reasoning is it hurts the flow of the forums overall. It's really annoying to have conversations when there are posters who aren't reading what other people are posting. Or when multiple people post the same stuff because they can't see what others have done. I mean I get it, putting someone on ignore might make it easier in terms of a lot of the "silliness" that goes on, but I'd rather people acted like adults. Ya know to have conversations without being jerks to each other, don't get all pissed off when someone says something you don't like. Most of us are old enough things shouldn't escalate to the point where you have to stick your fingers in your ears and pretend you can't hear it. It's like people get on the internet and forget they're adults. @Dougnsalem that one is for you! lol.

For the record, I do understand why the ignore feature exists and I think certain people would be and are better off just ignoring each other, so like I said I get it.

I don't put people on my ignore list because I don't like them or they annoy me (if I did that I'd only see posts by like 5 or 6 of you guys!). I only put people on my ignore list when none of their posts are worth reading AND they post a lot. It's just a way to weed out the posts I KNOW are going to be pointless to save myself some time as I skim through threads. It's a time-saver more than an annoyance-avoiding tool...but also that.

Lol. I hear what you're saying. However, it works PERFECT for the negative, troll poster, that doesn't have anything (or rarely) constructive to add to a conversation. Just here to stir the pot. Screw that. I come here to have fun conversations, and fully expect to enjoy my time here. If I were subjected to all of the negativity, I would just leave again. Go somewhere that is more fun. Life is too short, to spend any time on something that is not enjoyable. At least that's how I feel about it.

Yeah, I hear that and I think blue9 brought up a good point too. I usually just skim the "negative" stuff and don't bother to respond to it. So yeah I get it, it's one of those arguments that I think understand both sides of.

I thought the same for the longest time. Honestly. I don't need an ignore. I still don't have anyone on ignore, but if its truly serious, I can man up and just "ignore."
I had the same complaint. Multiple identical posts, losing track of a convo because I cant see everyone(assumed) talking. Without testing it, it just seems, and I had seen complaints form others who have people on ignore, that that is what would happen. But after actually putting one perosn on ignore, I found it better. I have since un-ignored that person and just need to remind myself to take the high road if/when he comes at me again.

I think it depends on each persons own will power and how much they insist on having to be right. The more people are able to agree to disagree, the less elevated many discussions would get, thus no need to ignore. But when people cant give up and just keep digging(i've been a participant in this), then it really gets old and ugly and I could see the ignore feature simply being the best option for all.

I still want to hear @BigGameDamian response though. Of all the people here he would probably have half the forum on ignore if he let us ruffle his feathers. He is a champ and has taken many a beating here without any retaliation. I think his answer will be, "just exercise some discipline", but I want to make sure i'm not missing an angle he sees.
