As much as Enes is wonderful and deserving of all our love and respect and no matter what happens, he isn't Jusuf. But he's dam close.
We have a bunch of ending contracts next year. Not impossible that we trade some of those, get under the tax, and then have the full MLE that we could throw at him.
There are limits as to how much the raises can be. It's usually limited to 4.5% or 7.5% depending on the type of contract.
No, you can't restructure contracts like that. The rules are specifically designed so that teams that are over the cap can't do shit like you're suggesting. There is absolutely no way around this. These are currently the only two possibilities this summer: 1) Kanter signs the Tax-MLE for $5.3 million. 2) Blazers make a trade that opens up the ability to get the Full-MLE and sign him for about $9 million. However this option also comes with being hard capped and most likely having to let Aminu, Curry, and Hood go too without much ability to replace them.
