    I am psychic
Also Kanter is on the second day of Ramadan. By Thursday his body will have started to settle on the cycle. He will be on the fourth full day. Aminu as well.
    Feelings?

OKC was 4-0 against the Blazers in the regular season that seemed to be important...

Denver may be a better team overall.

Evan Turner was supposed to be our Paul Millsap.

    Narrator: He wasn't.

Playing him at PF in Game 5 to guard Paul Millsap and Aminu at C guarding Jokic after 3 straight games of terrible defensive rebounding.

    Priceless.

Exactly. This wasn't just another loss. For 4 games the teams seemed well matched - then tonight it all went to pieces.

The only time you ever give him "Props" is if the team wins and you have no other option because people on this board will shut you straight down.
A coach can coach a good game and have a great game plan and still lose. But i understand you cannot quite see that yet.
A person doing anything can do something correct. They can make the right decisions and still not be successful every time. It's called Life on Life's terms. Coaches are human. They must deal with all the same issues everyone else does.

All you have to do to figure that out is read the thread about acquiring him. It's quite revealing to say the least.

Enough drama...this game was just a bump in the road in a good series where the number 2 seed has the edge on the number 3 seed....we win the next two and everybody will be gushing again...Go Blazers! Stotts does not make anybody miss wide open shots or free throws...I like the guy. We're just down 3-2 and need two in a row. I'll stand by this franchise, roster and coaching staff anyday in a stacked western conf.....Denver is just fucking good and deep...they're a tough out..good for them. we face elimination...that will tell the story. Lose this series and it's nothing to be ashamed of..I like our chances

Nah. They might not win game six but you will not see them roll over and quit in a close out game on their own court.
    Not this team. No way.
I'm kind of amazed you of all people would post that.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

Well how many teams continue to do well without their 2nd best player. If Milsap or Murray were hurt this series is different (a lot different), How about Siakam in Toronto. Weve seen Houston without CP3 go from 3-2 to 3-4. Even GS would have a hard time without Curry and they have several other all stars. Im not saying its an excuse that getting wrecked the way they did tonight is just well Nurkic is hurt so it doesnt matter. I am saying that the circumstances they’re playing with are much different because of Nurkic being hurt. It changes a lot about what they do. For one thing the Nurkic / Dame PNR was one of the most dangerous combinations in all of the NBA this year. Kanters been huge for the Blazers and his effort is appreciated but their offense doesnt get the same looks with him as they did with Nurkic.

I mean I dont know, I thought we’d see more ML before tonight to make it hard for Jokic thats a coaching thing. Im surprised they havent found a way to get defensive rebounds, or when they do get an offensive board to not let a Denver player take the ball right baxk. Also kind of on coaching.

I honestly think without Nurkic they just dont have the size they need, now could Stotts be more creative? Sure.

Im not... I never said they’d roll over and die, though from the looks of it they did tonight. I just watch them and it seems like Denver is playing with so much more energy than them the last 6 quarters or so.

I wish I had faith that they have the pride to stand up and win another game..... but this is the team that got swept last year.

Good news guys. The league just reviewed the tape of tonight's game, and confirmed that it only counts as one loss. Whew.

no, it's not...our bench is better, our starters defense is better..Nurk is better...Jake is better...I'm not watering it down...last year was Bazz, Ed and Patty C...this season it's Seth, Hood and Kanter….don't know how you compare those rosters

This would be my critic moment on Stotts for this game? There have been many but of course one poster doesn't seem to realize that.
Why did he wait for the Blazers to be down 25 points to put Leonard in? We all watched what happened. A number of posters on this board all called for Meyers to get some minutes in this game.
He frustrates Jokic without question. He can shoot threes. It opens up looks for other shooters. He passes well and sets good screens.
I am not an NBA coach and i don't know the situation but i would welcome seeing Meyers Start next game and Give Kanter just as many minutes in a backup role.
Let Meyers set the tone with Jokic.
