Haven't watched any other games than Blazers, as usual, and haven't looked at a stat sheet once during the playoffs. The commentators haven't mentioned it. So maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but I swear Damian is playing some of the most overpowering and dehumanizing defense I've seen from a Blazer guard since the seventies. Anyone else have this impression?
Dames defense has definitely gotten better he’s not at all a liability, and even when he gets beat he still works to get back involved in the play.
Damian's defense. Nurk's beasting and going away from flip shots. Playoff growth of Collins. These are some of the big stories of this season.
Dam! Reading all these posts! ( not sure every thought is worth a thread...) This is fun. This is why I joined last month. I had a feeling this team was gonna make some noise and wanted to share it with other" blazers." My friends are mostly musicians who probably think the Blazers don't score enough touchdowns, which is why they'll never win the World Series.
Dame’s rise to mainstream superstardom created by his offensive output and game changing daggers is what has been garnering so much attention. But his improvement on defense has been the brightest surprise to his game this season. Can’t say enough good things about this man.
If DAME D# can shut down Curry or plays him even on offense, we will have a shot at winning this thing.
