So, what's it going to be? Personally, all I know is that I have (happily) been wrong about this team all year.
I had to bring the homer vote...I've been right so far this season pretty much. They won one less game than I predicted so if that follows a pattern I'll say game 7 but as it stands...I'm going with Blazers in 6 baby!
As I said in my thread Friday, I'm already satisfied with this season. I'm just happy to be here. So I have no problem picking warriors in 5. But I hope I'm wrong.
I think it’s all about the Blazers winning one of the first two games on their court. If that happens, I can see Durant and Cousins coming back before they should and really messing with the Warriors chemistry. Who knows what happens then? But, if we don’t win one of those two, I’d say Warriors in 5.
In the 76-77 Championship season the Lakers were the number one seed. When Portland faced LA in the WCF’s, people were not giving the Blazers much hope against the Kareem Abdul Jabbar-led Lakers. Portland, with the unlikely help off the bench of Herman Gilliam, took the first two in LA. The Blazers were greeted at the airport by some 5,000 fans and went on to sweep 4-0! On to the Finals to take on the 76’ers. This season and these playoffs feel much like the ‘76-‘77 Championship year.....
I was wrong on the Nuggets and we had to do it in 7 (instead of 6). The guys will put the Ws to bed in 6.
Win or lose, I hope it's in Portland. This team deserves a standing ovation at the close of the series/season.
We got a good chance winning this series and good chance winning these in Oakland. As long we make them pay on there mistakes. They make a lot of turnover especially Curry. Curry might a great shooter but he is really loose with the ball.
For the first two series, I've picked Portland in six, even though I felt OKC and Denver would win. When it comes to sports, logic and reason are overwhelmed by passion. So...Portland in six!
