Crazily enough, the ECF is Gasol vs Gasol. Even though Pau can’t play, he would get a ring if they win it all.
Agreed. A lot of posters in here quit in a middle of a game/series and start trashing the team. LUCKILY- the team itself does NOT quit. If team doesn’t quit, why are fans? NateBishop tore into the players while the series was STILL GOING ON. Kjironman kept saying “this is not the time for such talk” and he was right.
The thing is I AM happy! I AM enjoying the moment! I was enjoying the moment before Game 6 too (we were in the 2nd round!) and you were trying to ruin it by saying we had a steaming pile of shit roster and weren’t a good team. Take your own advice.
Would you prefer a “members who should eat crow” thread? I get the premise of your thread but if you think the homers are not gonna poke and jab at the pescimists... how long you been a member here???????
It's Trent Jr. "gimmick", if you will. Ton of pics and videos of him doing it that I'm too lazy to search for but I do remember ET doing it after Trent took a charge last game of the season I even think Calabro or Hurd said something like "ET is doing the Trent hand sign" (not in the video)
This is why I don’t try to throw shit in people’s faces because I don’t put words in people’s mouth and I’m too lazy to usually go look up what someone said. I wasn’t just talking about right now. I was talking about the past few years with our shitty contracts like Meyers and Turner. That’s why I said it’s going to suck if/when we lose Kanter/Hood/Curry. The roster is pretty shitty without those guys, and they’re a huge part of why we’re in the WCF. I said this after we went down 3-2 in the series. Obviously I was wrong and we ended up beating Denver. Im still not convinced we are on the same level as golden state, but I guess we will see. The team needs to show that they can beat a powerhouse. So far they have beaten a shitty OKC and a very talented but young and inexperienced nuggets team. I hope we can beat Golden State. I would be thrilled. We have to win without Durant in the lineup or we are screwed. You never answered this question.
How about we just start our own "Positive Posters" game thread? I'm tired of the negative posters too. Especially the jackasses that only show up when we're down. This has been an awesome year, and whatever the outcome; I'm happy and looking forward to next year....
Because we got fucked over on our schedule. That's why it's a joke. We went from having an easy end of the season to a difficult one.
Our schedule was easy because all the easy teams we were going to play aren’t in Orlando. It’s pretty simple. We already finished our series with “easy” bubble teams like SA, Sac, and Wash. Not fair to extend those series to 5 or 6 games. Every team we are playing was on our remaining schedule. It’s our games against Atlanta, Cleve, and Detroit that were canceled.
Also- champions overcome all obstacles, fair or unfair. Losers whine, complain, and quit. Dame isn’t a loser. CJ isn’t a loser. Nurk isn’t a loser. Stotts isn’t a loser.
He hasn’t won a title but he’s absolutely a winner. Only 3 teams out of 30 won more playoff games than Stotts did last year. He’s won 3 playoff series without HCA. How many current coaches can claim that? He coached a game 7 win on the road in one of the toughest cities to win in. He’s won 50+ in 2 of his seasons. 3 seed twice in tough Western Conference. One of the most successful coaches in the NBA. Easy.
If you look at the all the current NBA coaches, and sort by their playoff record - he ranks out 18 of 24 (or bottom 25%). When you take out all the coaches that have less than 6 years coaching experience, he's #16 out of 19 coaches (or bottom 15%). He's right on par with Nate McMillan... You could MAYBE argue that he's an average NBA coach, but there is no way in hell that he's a top tier coach. Kerr, Bud, Nurse, Spoelstra, Pop, Bud, Gentry, Brown, Vogel, Rivers, Carlisle, Casey, & Brooks are all clearly better.
