And we should definitely not keep a coach because the players have a good relationship with him. Giannis was frustrated when Kidd was fired, look where Giannis is now.

Not saying fire him for nobody though. There needs to be a solid replacement if so. After all he has been successful this year, but I believe he owes way much to Dame and CJ for it. Team is at the bottom 5 for assists per game consistently.

We got the 3 seed in spite of him. We wouldnt be in the WCF if we didnt.

Trust me, he's not the reason we're here...

It's the way fans are after any loss in the playoffs. Just wait and read if they lose game two.

Exactly. Stotts tried to lose the final game by sitting his top 9 players. The only reason we got the draw we did and avoided GS in the 2nd round is because Anfernee went nuclear.

For several years now, people have said our shortcoming is lack of talent. I've long been of the opinion that we have plenty of talent to be competitive. We've been held back by two things: lack of compatible talent and inflexible coaching. The first one appears to be sorting itself out this year, resulting in some playoff success. The second one may have gotten worse.

The messed up thing is that this WCF appearance will buy Terry/Neil even more time. Expecting status quo this summer.

It shouldn't because if it was up to him, they would have played the Warriors in the 2nd round.

Oh boy, some of these quotes from Quick's piece are damning of Terry. https://theathletic.com/978888/2019...-and-looking-toward-terry-stotts-for-answers/

“As of today, we have limited tools at our disposal,” he said.

So the obvious follow up question would seem to be, why are they in this position? Who held a gun to the GM's head and made him give $17M to a player like Turner....FOR AS MANY YEARS AS POSSIBLE UNDER THE CBA.

    Wait wait wait.

Dame had to "SCHEDULE" a film session with Terry? WTF is this madness? The star has to take time out to ask for a special extra film review? In the fucking conference finals?

Why did Terry not do that first?

And Moe's suggestion of ET at the 5 is something I'd seriously consider. I hope these guys bring it up to our clueless coach. That would seriously allow us to switch everything and blow up their P&Rs. We don't need rim protection in this series.

Those are some fairly damning quotes of the game plan. They may make some changes but it is so reactionary. It shouldn't have been the game plan in the first place. Tough to give props in Game 2 to Stotts if he makes the completely obvious adjustments. I guess some 'stubbornness' props might be due but where was even a simple adjustment at halftime?

Now, if they make changes and Curry still 9 ridiculous '3's against a good defensive game plan, then hats off to Steph. But at least make him work harder than he does in pre-game warm ups.

Dame said as much postgame when he said Steph and Klay were getting practice shots.

That's in line with what the announcers said during the game about the Blazers flying straight from Denver, not practicing Monday, and not having time for a shoot-around Tuesday because of the "early" 6pm start. Huh? What are they doing all day that keeps them from being able to move things up 90 minutes to, you know, prepare for the game?

So, are you prepared to actually defend what Stotts did?

Are you going to actually explain why it was a good game plan? Others have been pretty clear about why they thought it was bad.

The one thing that kept Stotts in his job was Dame and other players had his back to the point they might riot if he was fired but if this continues then the player while they may LIKE Stotts they will finally go to NeO and say this -- "We like Stotts as a man and he has done a good job but maybe it's time for a change if we want to get a ring " --- hopefully NeO listens IF this happens cause i think we are seeing Stotts last stand if he cannot bounce back.
