    Adjustments:

Start Collins at Center over Kanter
    Collins must come out further in the pick and roll. Kanter will have to come off the bench once Thompson and/or Curry sit;

    Start Hood and Harkless

Have CJ bring up the ball every other time to allow Dame to curl around a pick and/or to penetrate and create his own shot or dish to Dame

Intensity must pick up from the opening tip off; Hood and Collins may help spur this

Eliminate turnovers - play aggressive defensively as a focus, allowing defense to generate offense; Don’t have Dame always bringing the ball up the court; crash the boards; take the open shot rather than forcing poor passes.

Really weird adjustment: play Simons when both Curry and Thompson are resting together. Tell Simons to penetrate and shoot - in other words, we need to throw these guys off a bit. We’re too predictable and Kerr will out coach Stotts every day so long as Stotts wants to be routine.

Each series is different and winning belongs to the team that will adjust!

Historically, Stotts is not big on adjustments. If he does make them, it is so after the fact and often much too late.

    I know. My fear.

With adjustments I think we can beat this team without Durant. We must steal game 2! Whatever it takes.

Man, how fresh would be a new Coach? You see how the Warriors playing Defense and you ask yourself why the fuck aren't we do the same?

This is my first game where I sat and watched and placed full blame on coaching!

We were unprepared. No adjustments were made during the game. I’m fearful (after listening to Stott’s post game interview) that few adjustments will be made for game 2.....

This: watch tape of how the Cavs guarded Steph. Or even how the Rockets and Clippers defended. Experts thought Curry was "struggling." It was more about the physicality and schemes he had to go up against, of which we showed neither. And sorry, Dame is not that guy.

I'm less concerned about Klay. He seems like he just goes hot or cold regardless of the defense. If you let Curry get comfortable, it's going to be an L every time.

Oh, and Dame, please decide to pass before jumping into a crowd of long armed defenders.

We must play GSW much more physical, like HOU did, and put definite pressure on Steph, not allowing even 2, let alone 7, open looks in the whole game, avoid allowing fast break points (which we lost 17-2), avoid turnovers, and match their swish3 scoring (we lost by 30 points!).

Therefore, start Meyers at Center, with Zach, Mo, Dame, and CJ, and bring in Rodney (if the knee is OK) and Seth as early as needed to keep up intensive determined defense. We need the screens and the floor direction that Meyers has provided in the Playoffs. We must run a game plan with active off-ball floor patterns that include double screens and facilitate multiple safe passes that result in catch and shoot openings for our best swish3 shooters, Seth, Meyers, and Rod, to support multiple long, mid, drive scoring by Dame and CJ. We need stronger, more physical play that originates with Meyers and Zach, and to use Enes, Evan, and Chief off the bench to keep up energy intensity when anyone needs a breather.

Steve Kerr is substituting often to keep up the energy level, and particularly if playing more physically, we need frequent substitutions as well to keep up a consistent hustle defense that turns to scoring based on GSW turnovers and takes away fast break and open shot scoring. There is great talent and energy on the bench. Let's use it and win the next 3 WCF games!

When a team can't shoot; then hard nose D, foul line % and fresh players/rotation are the saving grace. We only succeeded on the foul line. That game sucked. BBEq35V.jpg

Moe had an off the cuff comment about starting ET at the 5.

Why the hell not? That would give us some serious switchability out there and allow us to trap and double Steph up top while still maintaining the ability to scamper back on defense when they start moving the ball around. It's worth a look, but our coach does not experiment. Frustrating as hell when players have more solutions than coaches.

Dame had a lot of TOs when he drove, jumped, and made a bad pass. If this is Dame’s strategy in game 2, got to have a safety valve outlet. The turnovers absolutely killed us

OMG What was wrong with him? When he drove, I cringed. Good D schemes are part of the GS system and he should know better that to stick his ass in a blind alley. No grammar school kid should take his work tonight as gospel.

I don't know. They were sending an immediate hard double team on Kanter in the post. The coaches have to have a lineup that can take advantage of it because that should leave someone open every play.

In basketball it should be a huge advantage to get a post player doubled. I salivate when teams do it to me in rec league, an NBA team should be much more equipped to take advantage.

The positive impact Kanter gives us on offense is really minimal compared to the his defensive liability

I don't think he was that bad on defense in the 1st two series. Last night was not his fault. He wasn't even given a chance to show if he's a liability or not. Collins played the same way so you can't blame it on Stotts trying to hide Kanter's defense.

    Less turnovers
Do a better job of defending them sneaking back on offense for the long pass & layup after a defensive rebound
    Dame shoot more
Dont give Klay and Curry so many open 3's

One adjustment is to wake up Dame. He wakes up and we win.

Sadly, Dame has shot over 48% exactly twice in 13 playoff games so far. He is now at .426 FG% for the Playoffs.
