The pump went out on it. I can hear it. Im heading to Fry's today to return a wireless booster that didnt boost shit. Ill probably pick one up if they have them there, which I think they do. Hey. You know anyone looking to sell a solid extended passenger van in Salem? IM on the hunt and need to purchase by next weekend. I have my car sold already, but when im searching, it seems there are just as many in Salem as there are in Portland, even though the population is drastically different. Just trying to avoid the NO's of the world and find a for sale by owner one, cause most are at the used dealerships.
I don't right at the moment. Those sell pretty quick around here, with all the migrant workers. (Seriously). They load 'em up, and head to the farm.... I seem to remember seeing a bunch at a couple lots though. I'll check into it....
The K mart isn't open--been closed for a few months now. The kids were bussed over there because it's a big empty parking lot. For us, it was a pretty big deal. My kids (one at the high school, one at the middle school) were in lock down/lock out for multiple hours. My daughter had a mild emotional break down after a couple hours of having to silently hide in the dark and try to keep calm while police investigated everything to ensure everyone was safe. The reason it wasn't a bigger deal than it was is because the resource officers and the football coach acted swiftly, because concerns about the student's situation and mental state were identified and shared appropriately, because people saw the signs and were adequately prepared to respond.
Are you my long lost brother? 'cause I also lived a block away. I gave my brother this nickname of "Mediocre Man".
That makes it even more imperative. Why buy a 140 dollar machine you barely use that breaks out of warranty every time? Not if but when. If you lived in Vegas and made the mistake of putting tap water in it you'd understand.
These are a must buy also. Why pay $0.25 to $0.50 a pod, when it can be filled out of a can for cheap. (We use basic Folgers). Let them dry out, tap it in the garbage, rinse, and you're ready to go again.... (We go through 20ish cups a day, so it really pays off.)
We've got great tap water here and yet I filter it. I don't drink that much coffee, maybe a cup every month or so. My wife has her cup early in the morning and seldom ever has more although she did have two cups today.
I’ve got two or three keurigs in my storage. I hate them and people kept giving them to us as gifts. It’s just not coffee to me, it’s more like highly caffeinated brown tasteless water. I like to taste my coffee. Plus you can get a drip coffee maker for like $20 anywhere.
I hate 85 percent of the brands we've tried. I like a few quite a bit. Don Franciscos Kona Blend Newmans Own Organic Peets. The rest...meh. The Keurig is for when we're too lazy to boil water for the french press. Have two stainless steel versions I got on Amazon and we love them.
I like Don Francisco’s a lot. I have a buddy who’s a roaster though so we go that route quite a bit. Freshly ground beans are the tits. I buy the cheapo drip pots and run my coffee through twice to make it super dark. It wears the machines out quicker but at $20 a pop, fuck it.
Thanks for the tip. I love the taste of excellent coffee. It makes all the difference in the world between wanting a cup of coffee and multiple refills or not wanting a cup of coffee after the first sip. I particularly love Boyd's coffee. It is served in all Original Pancake House restaurants, the best place to get a breakfast I've ever been to in my life, and in all Spaghetti Factory restaurants, a great place to get American spaghetti. Just give me a little half and half although that's the only coffee I can stand black.
