I actually legit had a dream last night that we drafted Brandon Clarke. In the dream, he was pissed that he dropped that far, and Meyers Leonard was making a point to calm him down.

Lou Dort from Arizona state will work in front a bunch NBA teams next week and the Blazers is one of the teams.

Lets starts dreaming the Blazers as the first to come back from being down 3-0.

    unless nothin

it's not really about how Portland is playing. It's about how the Warriors are playing and they are playing like a team that won't lose two in a row, to anybody, let alone four in a row

I disagree so much, Blazers have played terrible in the 2nd halfs, they even play sort of ok basketball and not stupidly bad basketball and they’re up 2-1...

The Blazers have played bad 2nd halves because the Warriors have completely blitzed them. GS just dialed up the intensity and the pressure and the focus and left Portland bleeding-out in the dust.

there's always going to be excuses for losses but when you're down 3-0, those excuses are hollow and the what-if game is for the losers. I saw the exact same revisionist junk last year between the 3rd and 4th games

Its not an excuse its reality, they are losing because they’re playing incredibly stupid second halves. Warriors “blitzed” them, no the Blazers are just playing dumb. Its not a what if game, by now they should know the basics of basketball, like I don't know, pick up the ball in transition, or heres a thought don't jump with the ball when you have no idea what you’re gonna do with it.
You don't give up big leads just because they’re the warriors, you give up big leads because you play bad basketball.

Which is being caused by the other team having superior talent and 'blitzing' them

If they’re that much worse then GS, that anytime GS decides to try for 5 minutes they’re done then they should scrap this entire team, because they cant even do basic basketball things.

To me, if literally, all GS has to do is play good basketball for a couple of minutes and win a 48-minute game vs the Blazers then they are much, much further away from actually being competitive then being WCF's would suggest. Because GS plays like 5-10 minutes of good basketball and that's about all it takes. If this is what you guys believe then they're way further away then just needing Nurkic, and the whole roster + coaching staff should be on the block. You guys are saying well GS is so talented that all they have to do is try for a couple of minutes and they win, I just don't agree. The Blazers are not as talented as them I get that, but the Blazers are playing incredibly stupid basketball too, literally, Draymond for half that game was getting the ball and sprinting up the court and NO ONE would pick him up until he was a step away from the basket... That's not an overload of talent that's playing basketball the wrong way, you're taught to pick up the ball and create a wall in transition in middle school. That's literally no one on the Blazers wanting it more than them, it's not just oh GS is soooo talented we can't compete. It's they're so talented you have to actually play good basketball to beat them. Won't beat them not doing literally the basics of basketball.

Find a way to get Brandon Clarke! I think eventually he could have a Draymond Green type impact defensively.

    Imagine a future starting 5:
    Lillard
    CJ
    Clarke
    Collins
    Nurk

Simons 6th man spark off the bench until he's passed the torch when Lillard leaves.

I'm telling you Clarke will be a difference maker defensively. Don't care about his measurements. He has instincts and gets off the floor quick.

Can he shoot? Can he play the 3 in the NBA if he can't?

He can move laterally. I saw him lock down several wing players during the season. Without a doubt he can guard the 3. I think he can be an adequate shooter in the NBA. He shot 65% from the field in college and a good amount of those looks were deep mid range jumpers.

Lockdown, versatile defender. Would go great with our core.

And rightfully so. We're hampered by NO's 2016 contracts and will be until the trade deadline.

If we can't rid ourselves of those contracts, losing Kanter/Hood/Curry in the process, what will you say then?

I'm a Blazer fan, not an Olshey fan.

The best way to tell if shooting will transfer is to look at FT numbers. Yeah...

I didn't complain about him lately because he started doing a better job. If he does a poor job this summer, I'll complain. Simple.
